@rootcompute i never got to see Blades (just the Mini-blades) when you open the quick menu.
My 2009 360 came with the experience, then the update that changed the perspective to a flat view, and... It was not bad. Closer to Xbox Series.
But then came Metro, and I never touched the 360 ever again. And something happened to Series. Ever since they change the menunto make everything smaller so the wallpaper is visible... Everything is hard to see. Just let us select between new and old UI
@rootcompute btw, If you want to talk about nostalgia, don't forget XMB. An UI so good that KODI and Retroarch replicate it because it is so beloved.
I got a second hand PS3 in January, and you can't imagine how much I missed XMB. It does have a problem, though, in that it needs an update to support folders, since it was not designed for having too many digital itema.
@lonelyautomata This is a close competitor, the PSP holds a special place in my heart and PS3 is also great. I've had a PS3 laying around for several years that I'm thinking about installing custom firmware on soonish.
It's clear that the 00's was the best decade for interface design and it was all downhill from there. Wish we could go back
