For some reason, my Linux downloads previews and other temporary files to the root of my home dir, instead of to $HOME/tmp, even though I set all imaginable environment variables up to point there.
Reminded once again why you should never use 301/308 permanent redirects after spending yonks trying to clear one for Firefox after testing on localhost.
Hint: Checking the Disable Cache checkbox under Network did the trick.
(Stick to 307s and you’ll lead a happier life. Nothing in software dev is permanent. Future you will thank you later. And the first person who replies “buh, seo!” will get a swift telling off.) :)
@GossiTheDog I grown up in Czechoslovakia observing “temporary presence of the Soviet Union armies”. I have very complicated relationship to the word “ #temporary ”.
