Is it possible to print #tabletop#game pieces where one side and edge on all is one standard colour and the front colours vary?
Think Ingenious, or 60 Second Cities, or a billion other examples of thin (but not card stock) tiles where the uniform backings obscure what the varying fronts contain.
I’ve got a solid game idea largely ready for beta testing but the final parts needed are reusable, sufficiently hardy tiles. I’m wondering if 3D printing may be an option.

So in the Mage: The Ascension #tabletop#RPG setting, as in the other World of Darkness settings, the “sleepers” are largely unaware of magic or that the technology that trickles down from the vastly more advanced technocracy is really the current reality-compatible paradigm of magic… which makes me wonder: what about people who, like in the real world, study and practice magic even though it does not have reality-altering effects and only directly affects the practitioner’s state of mind? Do the Traditions belittle them? Do they try to discourage them from drawing attention to magic? Do they see them as future hopefuls that should be encouraged so that they might one day “awaken”?
Another game of #Cascadia tonight and this time our 8 YO joined in with my 11 YO, Lindsey and myself.
11 really wanted to play the non family version but I thought it would be too many things to remember. We compromised by selecting two animal scoring cards (elk and fish) and used them and then let the other three animals score just as groups like in the family variant. It worked out really well!
Any advice? Got a old heroquest set + 2 expansions. The components looked to be in great/good condition but the found that the box under the insert has some yellow staining? The cover has only couple stains in the corners.
Any idea if these is mould or just stains and nothing to worry about? Any advice is welcome!
I just ordered my own copy of this #tabletop game #TheIsleOfCats after playing it at a #boardGame night at our local gaming bar and really enjoying it. I tend to play a lot more video games than board games because the learning curve is so steep for so many and it's hard not to feel flustered or embarrassed trying to remember so many complicated rules, especially while playing with either someone else who is as clueless as you are, or someone who's an expert at that game and tired of having to re-explain the rules to you. But this game is a nice balance of "complicated enough to provide a fresh experience each time" and "not so complicated you'll get stressed out trying to learn all the rules." The artwork is also super cute, especially for a #cat lover like me!

It was a bit of a bust for Linds (even though she still won) bc she admittedly, didn't really understand what she was doing with these furs. It was probably a bad move making the last game a teaching game, but I felt she was not going to like it regardless. I've only ever played it solo and she knew how bad I wanted to try multiplayer, so I appreciate her giving it a go.
Second game done, and I finally won. #Wingspan with Oceania Expansion.
Having a hard deciding on next game. We either want to do #ArkNova with Marine Life expansion or #Everdell with Bellfaire and Spirecrest. Any opinions?

Today is #BoardGame day for my wife and I. Every few months we schedule a Saturday for us to play and to put aside all of the normal weekend responsibilities. It's really sweet bc I know she doesn't really care to play but it's mostly for me.
