One default issue/PR label I feel like new GitHub projects lack is one for project/internal "stuff" (e.g. upgrading some GitHub Action version; something that doesn't impact released code). What would you name such a label?
Interesting, some empirical research on how GPT4 /ChatGPT performs in summarizing. Still the low rate of errors can be unacceptable in some contexts. As noted "Life-critical medical decisions should remain based on full, critical, and thoughtful evaluation of the full text of research articles in context with clinical guidelines.". https://www.annfammed.org/content/22/2/113 #AI#ChatGPT#GPT4#summary#medical
I never made a New Years retrospective video for 2022, nor created my annual archive, but I wanted it for the archives I'm making now, so I went ahead and made one now.
That year was dominated by my migration to YunoHost and consolidation of my presence on the Fediverse. It's the year I created this instance of Misskey, in fact.
I want to start getting into "conventional commits" like "feat: x", "fix: x", etc. Especially if I'm going to work on more public/open-source projects this year, it might be beneficial. And it might also encourage me to keeo my git history a bit more organised.
@joel I think I can just add an "author" key in the blog frontmatter. I'm using Zola. I'm not sure how to get Zola to give the entire article in the feed. The excerpt is sliced for article card styling purposes on the site itself. I think Zola just cascades this to the feed content, too.
Mostly on production this month, which is nice. I did some animation tweaking, started the first exploratory work on EXR compositing workflow, rendered and assembled a couple of sequences.
I did peak into the problem of doing remote debugging and testing of Blender add-ons with VS Codium, but it's clear that's going to be a challenge to set up (I was using PyDev in Eclipse for that, but I've changed over to VC Codium for development work.
@rodentapp Really cool idea with the #Summary. Wouldn't want it instead of the #timeline, but it's a a very interesting addition. The #News collection is great, that's something, I was missing on the alternatives.
8/ An AI #summary can easily surpass an #abstract at giving readers the main ideas in an article, and we've long relied on abstracts for that purpose.
Hence, while AI summaries are imperfect, they're already good enough to be useful and even more useful than abstracts. Improvements will only make them more useful, without putting them any closer to copyright infringement.
@petersuber "An AI #summary can easily surpass an #abstract at giving readers the main ideas in an article" -- is there an online tool that would let me test this claim for myself? It goes against my intuition, but I'm the furthest thing from an expert on #AI or #LLMs.
[Answered] Why is the consumption of Meat considered bad
I heard something to do with Nitrogen and …cow farts(?) I am really unsure of this and would like to learn more....
Fanfic Summaries
I was pondering this earlier in the week. People have summaries they like and ones they will scroll past without considering the story at all....
