I was trying out JetBrains Rider again...
→ is an IDE, so primarily for looking at text
→ no support for BGR subpixel rendering, RGB only
→ no support for bitmap fonts
→ no way to adjust the font or the size of inlay hints
How can an IDE have such shitty text rendering? I don't want my code to look blurry.
Note: Visual Studio isn't any better, but VS Code is.

Mit der richtigen Firmware kann man in #Windows RGB Geräte steuern. Meine #Razer Maus/Tastatur lassen sich ohne Synapse einstellen 👍. Problem ist nur, Wireless Geräte gehen in Stand-by und Windows bekommt danach nicht mehr mit, dass die Farben resettet wurden 🙄.

Ovviamente è un #prodotto che di per sé punta più allo #sfizio che all’esigenza, quindi non ha senso aspettarsi chissà che, e certamente non sarebbe comodo avere questa come luce di lavoro al posto di una bianca; però, sorprendentemente, non è nemmeno tanto male, crea un’#atmosfera tendente al #viola ma comunque abbastanza bilanciata. 🎎

I really wish my #Nanoleaf#RGB lightstrips could do “bright sky blue", but anytime you introduce color it seems to tank the available brightness. So on super cloudy days like today it's either “just white" or “blue, but dim” 😞
I think this is because the cool/warm white LEDs are separate from the RGB ones (it's an RGB-CW strip) and it doesn't let you address them independently?
This week I took some time to get my old Gameboy Zero up and running again. Inside is a Raspberry Pi Zero and a small RP2040 board powering the Neopixel strip that illuminates the case while charging. I also designed and 3d printed a custom stand so I can display it without falling over every three seconds!
Scrap the #RGB -nonsense and #fishtank and make it 19° 3U rack-mountable thing and add some quiet #Noctua|s for a "semi-passive" uild and you'd get some nifty #HTPC setup...
Ho ho ho, 40m of WS2812b rgb LED’s ready for Christmas fun! I can’t decide what to illuminate first… I think my bike needs some light! Will definitely save one box for Xmas decs though.
