I had an irritating email from RealVNC, telling me I will have to pay to access more than 3 of my #RaspberryPi machines. Fortunately, I will be able to use the new "Raspberry Pi Connect: Remote Access to your Pi from any Web Browser", apart from the one Pi I can't update.
Got my OpenGLide test app running on target hardware!
Turns out I was able to revert several texture-related things because the VC4 driver supports way more GL extensions than I thought it did... 😅
Building your business around using a #raspberrypi is about to become a very bad, bad thing. They have a captive audience and can just turn the screws on price.
About ready to start working on my first homelab machine for self-hosting things instead of just glomming all my services on to the NAS. How feasible is it to start out on a Raspberry Pi while I get the hang of things? #selfhosting#selfhosted#homelab#raspberrypi
Well the #raspberryPi M.2 hat is installed & it's booting from a 1Tb NVMe drive.
It's a lot less fiddly than the base units I have & there's clearance so it doesn't affect the active cooler.
That said it's a tight fit for the official case & the screws it comes with are too short for the case so you need longer screws to secure it completely.
Also the top is very tight & without those screws it's easy to accidentally remove the hat by accident when powered up if it's used.
