Why do sci-fi artists design aerodynamic spaceships like mother ships that are never going to land? Aerodynamics really doesn't matter a whole lot in space.
Also, why would these ships need a discernable top and bottom? There is no real up or down for most of your interstellar travel.
From 2010 to 2017, there was a thing called #AseanCitizen that we Aseans started as a grassroots movement. We were all bloggers from across, well, #ASEAN or South-East Asia.
Some of us joined together to produce one of the best multi-authored regional blogs. We talked about our cultures, write about what makes the region awesome. As well as, try to address the oftentimes silly and sometimes heated debates.
It's all gone now. Forgotten. The blogs dead or offline. We all grew up, got busy with our personal lives, and moved on separately. And the important reason? We lost interest in it as we started to see ASEAN was, is, and will never be for the grassroots.
That was the end of what was once a vibrant grassroot ASEAN Citizens effort. We did it all voluntarily. Without a single recognition from the top-down organisation that is ASEAN.
But today? ASEAN is still a top-down organisation. They kept trying to get the grassroots involved, but they are always failing. Why? Because it is a top-down organisation, as simple as that. They will never understand until they shift their mindset and approach to bottom-up.
(P.S I want to restart this grassroots movement, but I just no longer have the spark. Give me a very good reason why I should give it another chance. Or, at least, guide the new generation.)
I was well into adulthood when I finally figured out why no bath towel ever seems absorbent enough.
I'm #ActuallyAutistic; so, any moisturev at all on my skin greatly bothers me.
Skin soaks up water like a sponge. Even if you remove all the surface moisture, some water absorbed by the skin still makes its way back out to the surface.

Mini rabbit hole just now…
Origin and meaning behind seven layer cake.
The origin part was easy. It seems pretty universally attributed to a particular Hungarian baker.
But I give up trying to find an explanation for the choice of exactly seven layers. I thought maybe there was some symbolism, especially with the long Jewish history of numerology. Maybe seven for days of the week? But I found nothing. 🤷♂️
People seem to just assume the original baker was just showing off. 🤔
Do folks in other countries know where we are talking about when we refer to specific USA states (I'm in Michigan) or should we always include the country as well? (I'm in Michigan, USA) #RandomThoughts

It seems arbitrary and chaotic to me that some abbreviations are just truncations and some are derived from seemingly random letter removals. Why is there no single universal rule or algorithm for abbreviation construction? 🤔
I hate when I feel like watching an episode of TNG but I can't decide which one. So, I end up stuck in my head so long that I don't end up watching any. #RandomThoughts
I thought about buying the #AirPodsMax multiple times now. But the fact that they still load with Lightning is so weird. Especially as they have no type of MagSafe.
I still use the AirPods Pro 2 and they're okay, but recently I don't really like in-ear headphones and would like to have an alternative that has all features AirPods have. So there is not really the option to search outside of the Apple cosmos.
The AirPods Max are in their fourth year without an upgrade so it's probably better to still wait a few months.

Anyone else have loose change sitting on your desk because you hate having it in your pockets but you don't really have anywhere to put it? 🙋♂️

Why do some people act like vaguely similar sounding words rhyme when they do not? Is that an NT thing that my #ActuallyAutistc brain refuses to accept? 🤔
"Kirt Berkeley Turkey" for example

Pro tip: Use the phrase "typical American" instead of "average American". There is no "average American", or at least I've never seen one.
If you do the math, the average American has one testicle, one ovary, and nearly one enlarged breast. That might be a fanciful Halloween costume, but God help anyone who really is the average American.
I think I charge my phone more often than I used to. I used to let it get all the way to single digits before recharging. Lately, I've been recharging when it's still over 75%. #RandomThoughts#Technology
Most people’s responsibilities rely on other people’s responsibilities, so when we tell ourselves “not my job” there’s almost always an “as long as they do what they’re supposed to” addendum.
If someone else doesn’t do it and it is a precursor for something you need than it is your job.
