I speak about the equity issues in the Global South, and a tendency to view education as a technical enterprise. I argue education is a complex and political process and systems are value-laden, requiring a critical examination of supposed resource scarcity and the roles of public and private actors.
The further privatization of healthcare in Canada is not only shamefully transgressing the rights of Canadians as outlined in the Canada Health Act, it is outright STEALING the investment made by generations of Canadians whose taxes have paid into building the public healthcare system over the course of their lifetimes.

An empty public purse = a government that can 'cry poor' and offer fewer services for your tax dollar. Then corporate interests step in and profit from what should be public services.
