This morning I'm discovering the music of Veronica Adane. Not sure where Veronica is from, but the cover lettering is Ethiopic, which implies singing in Amharic and being from Ethiopia or Eritrea. ¡Nice!
Check out my favourite records of the first quarter of #2024. Got some #emo, #rock, #BlackMetal and german #pop. But it's all great #music, I promise! 🤞
Every so often I remember that I haven't listened to this song in a while. And then I so. And it blows me away, every single time. And then I listen to it three times in a row because I just have to. The story it tells, the melody, the intensity of the singing, the drums, the way the music drives home what's happening in the lyrics. #Genesis Driving the Last Spike is always an experience. Love it.
Fine Young Cannibals is the band I think of whenever I read music crit (about any band, album, or song) that describe #pop#music in terms of "distillation."
In terms of their career, they gave us only two studio albums, each one lasting 35 minutes with ten #songs.
The records show the band's diverse musicality, presenting a range of pop sounds but not as a catalogue of musical style, moving from one song to the next. Instead, what they offer is more of a blend. Each song feels like it comes from the same musical stock but also gives us a distinct flavour that lingers for as long as the song lasts.
I also like how they had one cover for each record. On the first was Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds," and on the second was the Buzzcocks' "Ever Fallen in Love." That says a whole lot right there.
Seriously heard someone saying they don't listen to many black artists, because they aren't really into rap. Bitch please, feel free to share songs from Black artists from any genre. Here is one of my favorites, if you like this song please check out her other work:
In this visit there is music from The Rolling Stones, The Hollies, The Undertones, The Who, Stevie Wonder, a Kiwi Classic from The Headless Chickens, and more

DANI FILTH On CRADLE OF FILTH's Collaboration With ED SHEERAN: 'It's Very Catchy, But It's Very Heavy At The Same Time'
Are we (linux) ready for arm devices like snapdragon elite X? Asahi runs on mac os with arm chips and the software somehow runs better than macos itself?! Is the softwares packaged for arm linux different? Is there much softwares available for the arm platform like softwares available for the intel/amd chipsets?...
I’d say we (the linux community) are working on it. It’s much better than let’s say 5 years ago. Quite a few mainstream distros like Fedora and Ubuntu have ARM builds, there’s Armbian (Debian for ARM), Arch Linux for ARM and even Pop!_OS has a Raspberry Pi build. As you mentioned, there’s Asahi Linux for Apple Silicon Macs as well as an unofficial version of Ubuntu called Ubuntu Asahi.
That there was a Warheads Sour! Green Apple Soda? Neither did I until I found it at the Dollar Tree.
I mean, I just had to try it. I love gimmicky sodas, even if they end up tasting terrible. This one, though, was a big surprise.
I poured some out for myself and each of my kids. We all took a sip and, at once, recognize that it tasted like biting into a sweet, green apple. No sour taste or aftertaste. It just tasted like a sweet, green apple. Weirdly realistic flavor, even more so than a regular green apple candy.
Looking at the ingredients list, it had a all sorts of malic acid - so it SHOULD have been sour. But, to us - no sourness. Just sweetness. The kids really liked it. We may be looking for it again next Dollar Tree visit.
TL;DR - Warheads Sour! Green Apple Soda is better than it has any right to be, actually tasting like a green apple and not very sour. Would drink again.
A bit of #pop#punk from #Wales on a Sunday morning, just for a change.
My son bought this Neck deep album nine years ago and it remained sealed until this morning, when we cracked it open. I feel the same way about sealed #vinyl as I feel about sealed #games: pointless.
