It was easier
recycling things
together as a
zygote. Sinew,
blood and
clay, sans
blueprint.
What a feat. But
also the golem,
crouched busy
creating Tonka
truck dirt paths
in dirty gravel
driveways and
paving them with
stubbed out
cigarette butts.
Hey, it a living
All my writes are
bleeding out of me,
cheesy B movie
death scenes.
Or singing, singing
in the sanguine.
When credits roll
will only single words
remain?
Or will I expand to
all lexicons, and
monkeys with
typewriters
will sit in awe
as I explode
semi super
nova?
Words with me,
but imagine they
have other lives,
other families, their
own raison d'être.
In battle they’d carve
each other mid
syllable. In groups
they’d snub and snoot,
replete with synonym antics,
but today they assemble
making poems
intertwining
soulmates.
Over the wall we
go, other unwise
it’s one-sided. You
don’t see unless
you ascend and
fall. Sure, you
could climb
down,
but better to
see limbs akimbo
and imbibe
adrenal gland
purée. Otherwise
you’re repeating
the climb in
reverse.
Rocks, and
you don’t have
to put on the darkness
just to float. The
pumice will carry
you readily, as
fast and loose
as you want currently.
There’s something about
your disequilibrium
that ruins me for
buoyant stone irony,
about as much
as ones that
weigh me down
Does the ground hog
have a shadow, or is
it a doppelgänger?
The 42 days are
unnecessary. Let’s
build a trap and
catch the copy.
It’s rather passive
to wait out winter
when we know the
cause of its delay.
Or maybe we enjoy
the cold. And
growing old.
The day that dreams
dreamed of days, they
signaled the singularity.
We were the anomaly,
an excess of homilies.
Existence no longer
justified existing and
seeing eye to eye was
blurry at second best.
Double the vision,
double derision,
and someone to blame.
