swept Multnomah to Oleson and back, Terwilliger OHSU to Taylor's Ferry (PBOT needs to do some heavy lifting farther south here & sidewalks too), sidewalks on bridge over the freeway, both sides of Barbur from 3rd to 19th (ODOT come get your broken asphalt bits, and sweep your sidewalks?), Barbur NB from 24th to Spring Garden -> 19th, Bertha, yesterday Vermont past the schools, Capitol Hwy Terwilliger to the bridge across Multnomah #pdxBikes#BikeLaneSweeper#Portland#transportation@bikeloudpdx
"welcome to #Portland, now dodge this obstacle we put in your #pdxBikes lane" -- @mingus4portland probably. Just make the outside lanes red bus-and-turn-only, drivers can't stop breaking the infrastructure.
"Mapps, who is running for #Portland mayor and clearly trying to shore up support from all sides, conjures the spirit of the “avid cyclist” strategy. His implicit assumption that the Portland “everyman” is a driver who becomes irate when they see a new bike lane is pessimistic and concerning. Why aren’t people who are overly attached to their cars seen in the same radical light as “bike people”?
"People keep dying in crashes on #Portland’s streets, 15 so far this year. [#transportation] #Infrastructure isn’t the only reason for that—but it’s the factor that’s most fully the city’s responsibility, and most directly under the city’s control, and we still aren’t doing as much as we can." #VisionZero#pdxBikes 💯 @bikeloudpdx members putting it on the record every week
