yeah i don't really have a project here with this Sony CLIÉ PEG-NR70V/U, i just wanted to disassemble, inspect, clean, and re-battery it and it came right back to life. this thing would sell like hotcakes today with a modern display and a 5G modem

Hey! Did you know I once put #Doom and #gameboy (playable!) on credit card machines? Or ported Wordle to #PalmOS ? I've been plumbing all sorts of #tech into all sorts of other tech professionally for almost a decade now (unprofesionally for 16 years!) with an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of computers and low-level embedded code. I can also do killer hand-crafted #webdesign without relying on platforms or frameworks! And I can draw you in #pixelart for a modest price!

Is anyone familiar with this #PalmOS game? It's unfortunately called Empire, which is the name of a lot of other old video games. This Palm version is in English and French, the English version having a choppy translation.
It's a turn based game where you're trying to grow your empire and take out the other players, each turn you have to get your people fed, then spend whatever money you have on upgrades, then can attack the other empires to take their land.
I'm curious if it's a remake/port of something on another platform, because I'd love to know if it exists elsewhere.
Bought something I really wanted when I was a kid: a classic #Palm#PDA. This one is Palm IIIx, released in 1999. It's powered by the Motorola DragonBall EZ processor running the 68000 instruction set at blistering 16 megahertz, served by whopping 4 megabytes of RAM. It runs off two AAA batteries which can last up to a month or two.
