「 PumpkinOS is a re-implementation of PalmOS that runs on modern architectures (x86, ARM, etc). It is not your average PalmOS emulator (it does NOT require a PalmOS ROM), but it can run m68K PalmOS applications 」

Hey! Did you know I once put and (playable!) on credit card machines? Or ported Wordle to ? I've been plumbing all sorts of into all sorts of other tech professionally for almost a decade now (unprofesionally for 16 years!) with an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of computers and low-level embedded code. I can also do killer hand-crafted without relying on platforms or frameworks! And I can draw you in for a modest price!

I'm currently 99% unemployable due to being legally in Brazil and physically in the UK. I've been without a stable income for 2 years now and I desperately need something my way. If you know of any commission or contract work that won't bug me with where I am geographically, please let me know!

tool alert!

is a great little utility for extracting information from old files.

In the world, it will extract resources (such as pictures) from .APP and .OPA/OPO files, and it will convert three-colour .PIC files to PNG!

It also handles sprites, icons, , bitmaps, ...

It compiles on Windows, , macOS and . And, as of about 5 minutes ago, there's a recipe in HaikuPorts. 'Cos I made it.

I guess I can finally get organized... (and possibly even help AMC with their "Oppenheimer" IMAX projections 😂👉https://www.theverge.com/23801118/imax-movie-palm-pilot-oppenheimer )

Is anyone familiar with this #PalmOS game? It's unfortunately called Empire, which is the name of a lot of other old video games. This Palm version is in English and French, the English version having a choppy translation.

It's a turn based game where you're trying to grow your empire and take out the other players, each turn you have to get your people fed, then spend whatever money you have on upgrades, then can attack the other empires to take their land.

I'm curious if it's a remake/port of something on another platform, because I'd love to know if it exists elsewhere.

Bought something I really wanted when I was a kid: a classic . This one is Palm IIIx, released in 1999. It's powered by the Motorola DragonBall EZ processor running the 68000 instruction set at blistering 16 megahertz, served by whopping 4 megabytes of RAM. It runs off two AAA batteries which can last up to a month or two. The monochrome UI is controlled by a stylus, and it uses a simple handwriting system called Graffiti.
