I am doing a survey about yoga and neurodivergent folk and your boosts would be appreciated.
If you are neurodivergent (self-realized or Dx'd, it's all good here), and fall under the vast ND umbrella, I'd love to hear from you. Quick 6-7 question survey and you can remain anon if you want.
Fully aware that this sounds like a conspiracy theory, but the #neurodivergent (specifically #AuDHD) movement is so fascinating to witness through an evolutionary lens. We are quite literally experiencing how society comes to terms with an accelerating genetic mutation. Growing evidence points towards #adhd and #autism as differing presentations of the same underlying mutation. Highly co-morbid conditions like #depression, #anxiety, and #ocd could be #cptsd from ongoing social trauma? Wild.
I have the worst #OCD about #COVID.
I wonder if this happened to others before me. I keep thinking I test positive on lateral flow tests when seeing an extremely faint line, only when looking from certain angles from up close with a flash. Looking online ofc it says a faint line means positive.
But I just noticed that when doing the same to an empty test, before I put any sample in at all - I can still see those lines around both the C and T.
Can't even be seen on photos
So lost rn. Doctors??
Reminder: Neurodiversity is much broader than Autism, Dyslexia or ADHD.
Many conditions are often left out in the conversations, and ultimately in research and further in the allocation of resources. Let's strive towards equity.
I figured to write a little thread, sharing what helps me to decrease anxiety, depression and OCD…
• Take time for daily outdoor walks or other exercise. This helps your brain to process and solve things, and increase white matter.
• Eat healthy. No hard-to-digest food, heavily processed food, sugary stuff, etcetera. Your gut is intricately connected to your brain via the nervous system and gut bacteria. "You are what you eat."
I've never posted an #introduction so here it is, finally!
We're Rak, a plural system consisting of Anna, Kat, and Farah (among others). All of our pronouns are she/her and it's fine to refer to our whole system as such.
We're panromantic, grey-asexual, and polyamorous! Very leftist, not religious. We also have ADHD, OCD, and Bipolar II, so hopefully we can find others to relate and share experiences with.
We'll each write our own little mini-intros for anyone interested!
💙 I'm Anna ^^ more often than not I'm in front, though very often alongside Kat. I'm a very nerdy blue catgirl. I'm pretty reserved, thoughtful, and deliberate, though also often anxious. I'm the linux nerd in our system ^^ I'm a sucker for optimization and efficiency in all things, and I love tinkering and customizing everything. I really enjoy factory building games and sandbox games.
Kat and I have a lot of overlap with our interests; together we're pretty creative and enjoy art, 3D modeling, music making, and gamedev. We both enjoy playing FFXIV (especially savage raiding and clubbing!), Monster Hunter, FromSoft games, and retro shooters.
💜 hiii i'm kat! i'm very extraverted, and i really love meeting and getting to know people! i'm really excited to be able to be myself here now, and i'll probably post a lot hehe.. i'm carefree, excitable, affectionate, and energetic. i can be pretty flirty at times! also i'm a catgirl too :3 i'd love to meet you!!
🤎 Hello, my name is Farah. I don't know if I'm going to really use social media much, but I wanted to give an introduction regardless. I do anything I can to make Anna and Kat's lives a little bit easier, though recently I've been exploring my own interests as well. I really love animals and nature. I'm happy to talk to anyone friendly!
This turned out to be a lot longer than expected, thanks for your interest ^^ Feel free to send us a DM, we'd love to talk about anything!
Most cow-orkers are still on vacation this week. I spent 2 uninterrupted hours today adding servers and switches to Netbox and lovingly connecting their interfaces with virtual cables. 🥴 #ocd

The cohesion in the Metality family is incomparable! We tackle things together and they turn out great.
Thanks to everyone for this wonderful story:
This is Hannah. She is a #Metal fan and #Metality member, a creative woman with dreams, she wants to become a goldsmith. She has struggled with #depression and #anxiety for years. Hanna is #autistic and has #Aspergers syndrome. What is easy for many people, presents hurdles, especially in her everyday life.

Disabled people are treated like our bodies, our stories, are public property - especially so for those of us who are Aboriginal, who are Black, or People of Colour, who are trans or queer, or read as women.
Consider that if someone with a disability is posting their mutual aid links, either give/share/support or just move on.
Don't message us asking why we're disabled or why we're not on disability support pensions - that's nunya. NUNYA.
In today's #OCD news, the fact that you can't unwatch a #GitHub repo after you've started watching it — only change the watch status to "Ignore" — is deeply unsatisfying.
🇩🇪 Carex musste eine schwere Aufgabe erledigen und jetzt ist es wieder ganz aufgewühlt und denkt so viel nach, dass es sich zunehmend schlechter fühlt.

🇬🇧 Carex had to do a difficult task and now it is in a complete turmoil again and is thinking so much that it is feeling increasingly worse.
