🇬🇧 The #meteor flew very visibly over #Portugal. Conditions were great for observing such a phenomenon. The beautiful effect was (accidentally) captured by many people. I recommend taking a look at #Reddit and watching some videos.

🇵🇱 Meteor przeleciał bardzo widocznie nad Portugalią. Warunki były świetne do obserwacji takiego zjawiska. Piękny efekt udało się (przypadkowo) uchwycić przez wiele osób. Polecam zajrzeć na Reddit i obejrzeć kilka filmów.

The Eta Aquarid meteor shower, debris of Halley’s comet, peaks this weekend. Here’s how to see it.

From AP: "The Southern Hemisphere will have the best view of Eta Aquarids, but a waning moon just 14% full will allow for clear viewing in both hemispheres, according to the American Meteor Society."

Aotearoa's 10th meteorite has been discovered on Crown land in the South Island's Mackenzie Country by a group of eagle-eyed citizen scientists.

The space rock entered Earth's atmosphere at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per second on 13 March.

It was spotted by Dennis Behan, a member of Fireballs Aotearoa, who was relaxing in his spa bath in Queenstown when it tore through the atmosphere.

What if a meteor hit us now? What happens after that?

Not one big enough to cause another great extinction, but small enough to just turn a whole small country and parts of neighboring ones into a huge crater. Will the people who was evacuated out after NASA stated a warning try to rebuild the country after everything has settled down or do they’d become citizens of another...

Yeah general accounts like minor planet center, nasa and esa of course. And specific accounts like the international meteor organization and nasa asteroid watch. But also hashtags like #fireball or #meteor

Ob der »heilige Stern von Brandenburg« jetzt auch hilft, den politischen Weg zu erhellen?

Ich wünsche es mir!

Here's one I captured last night streaking away from the Orion constellation, almost as if the Great Hunter had fired an arrow.

Good luck!
