"On Saturday night, Trump convinced 117 extraordinarily wealthy people to give him $50 million at a campaign fundraiser at the Palm Beach home of billionaire investor John Paulson. They believe that if Trump becomes president again, he’ll give them another big tax cut."
Golden Years? 😂 Not if Michigan's GOP US House Reps have their way.
They're on board with gutting #SocialSecurity and #Medicare and giving the rich bigger tax cuts.
When you decide how to vote, remember how they'll vote if they win. #DemCastMI#BlueWaveRising
While TFG plans to cut taxes for his rich friends by taking away #SocialSecurity & #Medicare, the Biden administration will ensure they pay their fair share & American benefits are protected. #BidenHarris4More#DemCast
So, #Medicare Part D (Drug coverage). I entered my only arguably expensive med (that must be picked up in person).
I currently pay $7/month through Kaiser's pharmacy on a private plan ($1880/month, but that's also health insurance).
For six months, I'd be charged a whopping $1,298.65 for that one med on the lowest plan. Highest price is over $3,600. (It's not a covered med, apparently.)
Medicare forced to expand forms to fit 10-digit bills—a penny shy of $100M
the real story is the last sentence.
"...found that Americans pay nearly three times more for prescription drugs than people in 33 other wealthy countries.

Medicare Advantage plans are not only ripping off America's seniors, they are bankrupting physicians and hospitals with their fraudulent scheme of "delay, deny and not pay."
The jig is up: "16% of health systems are planning to stop accepting one or more Medicare Advantage plans in the next two years. Another 45% said they are considering the same but have not made a final decision."
That seems to be pissing off Medicare Advantage CEOs. Sachin Jain, MD, CEO of SCAN Group — one of the nation's largest nonprofit Medicare Advantage companies said, "You're a nonprofit system saying you're no longer going to accept the insurance that low-income people actually have. We'll see how that works out for you."
No, you pathological piece of shit, we'll see how that works out for YOU. These health systems are already not getting paid by your fraudulent system of collecting insurance premiums but denying payment for care. They have nothing to lose. You're a sociopathic predator and you deserve bankruptcy and imprisonment.
A new study finds that popular weight loss drug #Ozempic "could be profitably produced for less than $5 a month, even as maker Novo Nordisk A/S charges almost $1,000 in the US..."
The company's combined 2023 sales of Ozempic and related product Wegovy topped $18 billion.
