I have some availability over the next few weeks, so if you need a logo for your project, gylphs for your app, or illustrations for... well, whatever you need illustrations for, ping me!
If you wish to find out more about me as a person, my strengths, skills and what I'm like to work with, please take a look at my personal user manual at https://www.andycarolan.com/myusermanual
A fun read on the history of the (proposed) fediverse logo.
"A lot of people think that the pentacle was chosen because of its occult or satanic connotations. And while it would be in Fediverse's rebellious spirit, this was not the case."
Anyone who can help us with this logo? We'd probably want the background solid (no gradient) dark (dark grey/black) and a glossy golden color for the logo and text.
In close partnership with a wide range of companies, I have developed logos, logotypes, and symbols that are true representations of that companies' brands, complement their particular fields, and resonate with the audiences they hope to reach.
On another front, I am now in the process of setting up our new #thai#company together with my wife. The #lawyer is already at work. 🥰️
The name is set, the #logo and a minimal #corporate design are made (I used an #opensource font and did all the work in #inkscape), the #domain is bought and set up, the #website is in the works (with #grav) and our thai #friends are on board as shareholders as well. 😃️
Unfortunately I can't share the details yet, but I'm still really excited. 🥳️
#Logo I created some time ago, for @xgqt for some #Gentoo project, made with #krita.
Actually it wasn't created as vector art in most part, even if finally converted.
Was working today on kind of an entry piece for Community Design Team: a logo and new mascot for #Bootc (special type of container).
His name is Bootseef and he's ready to fly through updates! 🚀🚀 Thanks to Madeline Peck and Design Team for the sketches, sources and color choices that inspired me. 👋 I enjoyed doing this particular mascot the most.
@fedora.design@peertube.linuxrocks.online and #CommunityDesignTeam have lots of work on their plate, so I invite aspiring and designers by trade to have a looksie-look in their GitLab issues. @fedora has engineering and other teams worth their gold, making software great, as well.
I know, it's been ages and ages. I've been super busy doing tons of stuff. Lately, I've been #traveling a lot and trying to get things done while I'm on the plane. I have a few places I chat at, so this one had to take a back seat for a long while. I'll try to say hi more frequently though. 🙃
In the meantime, if you like Emacs, and you like pink and cute things, this #logo is for you:
I use it as my App icon as well as on my #Emacs dashboard. 🙃
It's "Ask-A-Jon" Wednesday and I have a question for @jon, the head cheese at #VivaldiBrowser.
Where did the Vivaldi logo come from? Was it designed by one of your team?

The distinctive logo and sign for Glasgow's legendary Sub Club on Jamaica Street.
The Sub Club first opened in 1987 and it's now the world's longest running Underground Music club. It's regularly voted as being amongst the best clubs in the world.
I’ve always been fascinated by these extreme/illegible logos. They leave the idea of logo behind, start to subvert their own purpose of identity, recognition & communication.
The project is to deliberately, ostentatiously, ritually, murder legibility.
To spurn public conventions of communication for something wilder, more authentic, less controlled, & ultimately wrapped up in a dance with entropy/disorder. Away from what’s known. Darkness visible.
