Billion dollar corps can't control the fediverse, therefore it's not profitable.

https://xd.adobe.com/view/c697138f-cbea-4a0c-aab7-a328885c504f-93c4/?fullscreen

Adobe XD to niestety trochę takie XD i trzeba własnoręcznie dopasować skalowanie makiety do ekranu.

Do you think instance administrators should contact each other before making any decisions like defederation or suspension of a user account ?

Hmm I'm considering moving away from relatively soon. It's okay, but a bit barebones, and there hasn't been much development over the past year or two.

Only question is, do I switch to , or ? I've been against for awhile but now they made the word blacklist optional.

schrottkatze, to fediverse

I love calckey, but before I switched to only fedi social media wise I used to actively use reddit and instagram a bunch earlier as well, both for their own reasons.

When possible (available as nixos modules) I kinda wanna host a and / (lemmy is already available but i plan on using both kbin and lemmy so i can make a decision)

Is it just me or have discussions on / (aka Reddit-like corner of fedi) become longer and deeper since started doing a stupid with third-party client API?

@rysiek I have noticed that if I boost an interesting thread from Lemmy instance, people from all over the fediverse are more likely to join the discussion. I think it's more natural than a group-boost-bot. As for , at this stage, I am very careful about choosing the places I write about the project. This is also the time when everyone can express their opinion on how platforms should communicate with each other, so I invite you to discuss https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/issues/3 ;)

@ernest a szkoda.

I'm test driving for public groups.

Like , /kbin can ban trolls from participating in groups.

Unlike Friendica, you can remove posts local to where the group is hosted.

Unfortunately, the offending comments still appears in user timelines because other Fediverse servers do not delete after comments are removed locally.

Another alternative could be which supports groups through "Channels". However these do NOT federate.

Is Lemmy useful for this? Apparently John Mastodon has finally decided to add group support, so watch this space...

So... it seems like if you search something on and you get a bunch of results, you can collapse the comments in the same page 👍

indieterminacy, to fediverse

@ernest Ive been running parallel instances between both your technology & the one provides for my group

However in getting around to testing the interoperabilty from your side, I realize that the attribution is off:

https://kbin.social/m/xq_icebreaker@lemmy.ml

Naturally, you are not the owner for any of these groups but you are classed as such.
And datas off.

I get it that you are trying to grow your instance and tech but please do resolve these anomalies once things settle down.

@ernest so, trying out #kbin. Should I be able to subscribe to lemmy groups? They show up in the list but they just lead me to the lemmy instance.

devnull, to fediverse

@ernest wait, did I just reboost a submission someone made on that you boosted? From ?!

I'm sure at some point this will get old, but right now, that's frickin' wild.

For Reddit alternatives on the Fediverse, I prefer over . Here's why:

  1. Navigation: The top navbar on /kbin seems clear and precise, while Lemmy seems noisy

  2. Posts: There's clear separation in /kbin with boxes, while Lemmy posts are not segmented and therefore bleed into each other.

  3. Discoverability: Even though /kbin is used by drastically fewer people than Lemmy, it seems easier to find people across the Fediverse who discuss topics
