Dabei ist jetzt schon klar, es geht vor allem um Software und eine große neue Ankündigung. Ich bin sicher, das VR/AR-Headset wird vorgestellt und Apple wird dafür einige Zeit verwenden. Andernfalls hätte Apple die Verfügbarkeit von #FinalCut und #LogicPro für das #iPadPro sicher nicht als Pressemitteilung vorab herausgegeben.

Catching up on the new things announced at Google I/O; I used to really enjoy my few Nexus-branded Android devices back in the day, but wow I really don't even know what Android is anymore, other than not-iPhone. There's just nothing about that OS, design language or ecosystem that appeals to me anymore. Ivory for iOS/iPadOS 1.4 is out on the App Store! It will slowly roll out over the next few days, but if you want it now, go to the App Store and manually update.
Recommendations, please, for making an #XMPP audio/video call work between:
a user on iOS and a user on Android
a user on iOS and a user on Linux
Messaging works fine, as does a/v between Linux and Android, but I have yet to find a combination which works for audio / video with an iOS device in the mix.
@neil if you self host (or not), #Snikket works quite well, which is based on #Siskin IM on #iOS and #Conversations on #Android. On GNU/Linux, #Dino is working, otherwise #Movim and #Converse should work (web clients). I believe they all work between themselves (for one2one calls).
Be sure to have an XMPP server with STUN/TURN activated (it's precious to cross NAT/Firewalls).
For the record, I'm implementing A/V calls in #Libervia too, thanks to an #NLnet grant.
@thelinuxEXP I don’t think they’ve actually confirmed anything in regards to this yet, have they?
