It's hard to overstate the importance that Sesame Street played in my life.
My parents had VHS tapes shipped internationally, and my parents got not only an American TV, but an American VCR, in France, in 1979 so I could watch it.
When I was a small child, Sesame Street was one of my favorite shows. I enjoyed the animation and complexity, not only the word lessons but life lessons too.
And it absolutely had an impact on how I saw the world, and probably why NYC feels more like home than anywhere else in the world to me.
I was too old for Sesame Street when Elmo became prominent, but I saw the cultural shift it created. I didn't like Elmo or the direction the show was taking.
I'm glad other people are talking about it, because Sesame Street plays such a huge rule in my childhood.
I think Twitter is an automated Skinner Box and we are the rats in an experiment run by Elon.

Classical Conditioning is associative. Pavlov's Dog is a prime example. Show the dog food and ring a bell. The dog salivates. Keep doing that and soon enough just ringing the bell is enough to make the dog salivate.

La cosa drammatica secondo me è che un personaggio del genere (cfr. #elmo) porti voti per certe categorie di elettorato, perché non dimentichiamolo per moltissima parte dell'opinione pubblica #elmo è un genio salvifico, ripeto per me questo è il vero dramma

So, #Elmo says he's going to remove the head, subhead, and url from all news articles posted to #Twitter, and just show the main image for the article. Another braindead change. Imo the sole reason for this is to make the spread of mis/disinformation easier.

I made my final decision to completely drop using Twitter today and moving my #artshare activities to #mastodon. It's not easy for me though; I've joined #Twitter back in 2008 and it was my ONLY #socialmedia for many years - till #Elmo take over and ruining it. Unfortunate.
