Like about 2 years I started to learning play drums, on electric set. Last December i bought acustic one and started to learn even more stuff. Yesterday i created https://soundcloud.com/leszek-prabucki where i would put some material from my practice etc. #drums
@mrcompletely@Corry342 according to billy's book, he bought it from barbata in mid/late '74 & lived there on/off for 20-25 years. harrison ford may've been involved in its construction.
@e thank you! I follow her on Instagram and TikTok, I just can’t find the name of the song. I also didn’t know the style, so this is super helpful. I appreciate it.
Periodic reminder I'm still looking for electronica bands with acoustic drums, either featured in their studio productions or live performances. Streaming platforms' matching algorithms can't be that specific, so any suggestion is welcome and as a starter point, here's Muriatic by Polynation.
@hypolite Then you might like that song as well: youtube.com/watch?v=6-qr8Wc2ZX…
In the 2000s, in my spare time, I had an online magazine with a friend and we went to a lot of concerts. I remember standing in the front row when the curtain went down. And feeling my inner organs get hit hard when after a few minutes of cozy electronic drums the acoustic ones started.
"You were expected to play what you don’t know, not what you already know…It’s easy to sit home and play all kinds of great ideas, great, but then when you’re playing with an ensemble, you can’t play that sh*t. You gotta react with the musicians, and sometime that may require you just keeping time and not playing all the hip stuff… it doesn’t work, because now you are part of a team. - Jazz drumming great, Jack DeJohnette #jass#drumming#drums#musicians#practice#performance
