I really don't like this trend that modern #developer support is moving away from #forums and into #chat servers like #Discord.
Supporting each other on forums is so much more valuable because it leaves a record for future developers to see (and search). Chat servers are ephemeral. The same question will be asked over and over because it leaves no record. It wastes everyone's (the askers and the answerers) time.
Huhhuh. Muutama kävijä käynyt tuolla #Mastopoet issa.
Minut yllätti myös top maat!
Nimittäin ensimmäisen sijan on napannut Australia! En olisi uskonut. Seuraavana tulee Yhdysvallat, ja sitten Saksa. Me suomalaiset olemme vasta viidentenä!
i've been programming for some time and i've always had a solid command of the language i program in. will i have a problem creating complex and scalable applications because i don't use frameworks?

Hmmm, I think my next goal is to create a custom userChrome.css file for Firefox, to make it use space more efficiently. I just can't deal with the shitty UI anymore, tabs are massive, menus are massive.
The problem is, I am no developer so it's gonna take me a long time using other's code as example/starting point. #Firefox#css#developer
Instead of requesting new YouTube videos from a channel by searching the channel for videos sorted by date, I retrieve the "uploads" playlist id and THEN get the newest video in that playlist. The first approach ate 101 Google API quota, the new approach only 3, with the same result xD I increased the amount of API requests I can do by 3000% by choosing a slightly different approach c: (It's for my discord bot) #coding#developer#python#google#api#programming#development#cloud#youtube
NOTICE: Every time a #developer says "I need more detailed requirements" they've been asked for an #estimate.
INSTEAD: Ask a developer "Have you got enough information about this to get started?" and their answer will be "yes" even when the requirement is vague.
A developer who used to work for Rockstar North has shared a blog including fascinating development snippets about the development of GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, as well as general Renderware development.
As someone who is a developer who secretly wanted to be a game developer for years, I can't tell you how fascinating this stuff is to read: https://insiderockstarnorth.blogspot.com/
You know you are a #frontend#developer when you have way too many #browsers (all with different themes you can you tell what is what) just so you test things from multiple accounts simulatneously...
Anyone found a better soution to this little game?
Back into the thick of my research into .NET 7 Core and deployments. I have a website and environment slots. I need to figure out how to clean up my deployments in GitHub.
I don't like using frameworks in my applications
