Now #defundthepolice, on the other hand, has done far more harm than good among moderates. The idea behind it, at least as I understand it - assigning some police functions like mental health intervention to other types of professionals, and demilitarizing, is great, but the phrase is misleading.
Don't get me started on the absurdity of #acab. I get that overall, the police is full of authoritarian a-holes, but there are at least SOME good police out there, and I just don't buy that a society with no cops at all works.
