Who would have ever think that photos taken at night on a wooden pier could be so difficult? First, you need a long expose to capture the light. Long exposure leaves you open to motion blur. The pier is in motion. Even with a tripod I had to time the shot for between the waves to minimize the blur.
This Brown Pelican almost appears to be standing guard over the Destin Harbor. As a family the Destin Harbor is always a good stop for great food and fun activities.
