What’s a good web hoster (service) for all-in-one website hosting? I’m looking for someone who wants 100% control of the process, without me in middle having to SSH on the server to change configs and so on. The software should be some sort of website generator.
Is WordPress still the way to go?
All goods are of course our photography and made inhouse on our print set up. Something to do alongside the normal roles and gives us an outlet for all the pictures I seem to have on the drives 😀
How safe is it to use external images on your #website? I'm aware of the possible #tracking but is there anything else?
Should I just proxy them through my #backend? #programming#webdev
I started playing with Statiq, a .NET static content generator. I'm working on a blog series to share my experiences. Check out my "Getting Started" post by visiting https://jasong.us/3VZBsJe. More to come!
I've made some changes to my #website, partly inspired by @tdarb and partly by my growing distaste for narrow columns of text on high-resolution desktop/laptop displays.
I'm looking into replacing my #LinkTree with my own website, so I can add non URLs to it. But the free offerings are...not great. I found a free host with no ads, but their site designer is paid. #Wix has a site designer, but to use it on a non-wix site is paid. If I hand code the site, it is going to be VERY Web 1.0. Like, pure #HTML that predates #CSS as I never learned it the latter.
Anyone have any suggestions for a free, #WYSIWYG website builder that can be used anywhere? Preferably that I don't have to download.

Here's what I don't like about #firefox for #android: it doesn't render certain pages very well. Look at the image below, and you'll see what I mean. You should notice how the button to clear the search bar sticks out a bit; I actually have to press it before I can move to another result category (like Images) (thx query strings). You can also see that Firefox allows you to zoom out by a lot. Also, it's not just #Google#search that's affected; I have to deal with Firefox obstructing some of the UI in practically every #website I visit. I hope that @mozilla sees this and looks for a way to fix the bug.
