The story here, AFAIU, is that it's the same developer porting the app from a reddit to lemmy backend. I've never used it, but android users have been excited for it from what I've seen.
Hey, I use the Adobe Suite for daily use to build and develop posts and videos for multiple people and can't have my workflow slow down by learning a new application, I've looked into Linux a few times and want to really move over in the future but due to it not having support for Adobe, I'm not sure what to do....
I am absolutely disappointed and appalled at the blatant security issues with both @\Steam and @\WarThunder as they require mobile apps for 2FA. Why the hell are you trying to reinvent the wheel when you're not involved in #InfoSec. It should be standard TOTP or FIDO #sync
Legitimacy. I believe this is the first of the major 3rd party #reddit app devs to endorse/embrace Lemmy as a platform.
The whole Kbin vs. Lemmy situation - this doesn't mean Lemmy won or anything; Kbin is great and will have great apps developed for it too, definitely. But this is a huge boost for Lemmy.
Is there any way to step through a Keynote presentation using MIDI without spending any money to do it? Basically I want to run a Keynote with lyrics and have it synced to the rest of the sequence
Full review of the #synology#BeeStation coming in a few days! Waiting for the new update to be picked up by the device itself as it should fix certain pending issues and bugs.
Do you see yourself as a BeeStation user? If you are not sure, hopefully the upcoming lengthy review will answer some questions and help you decide.
A team from #Rijksmuseum Amsterdam reviewed several solutions for #sync of up-to-date information:
1️⃣ OAI-PMH
2️⃣ ResourceSync
3️⃣ Git
4️⃣ #LinkedData Notifications
5️⃣ Linked Data Event Streams
6️⃣ #IIIF Change Discovery
What service do you use for secure #cloud#storage? Over the years I’ve tried many of them but focused on the Canadian service #Sync. It was the first that offered full #encryption by default. Sadly, in recent years customer service has plummeted and the service itself has failed to progress especially in the Apple ecosystem. Proton is a newer entrant but their service is clunky and there is no Mac app. The best value and service seems to be from NZ-based #Mega which I am now trying out.
"Thing is: #Firefox#Sync was built with privacy in mind. It was encrypting all data from the very start, by default. #Mozilla’s goal was never monetizing this data.
#Google on the other hand built a sync service that allowed them to collect all of users’ data, with a tiny encryption shim on top of it."
I want to hear what you folks use to sync blogs/webpages over SFTP.
So, the setup is that you have a bunch of files (HTML, CSS, etc) on your local computer, and you want to update your hosting with the latest version, having only SFTP access.
I am mounting it locally with sshfs and then using "rsync -vuz --delete --recursive <source> <destination>", but I feel like there is a better way (or better rsync options).
The other day I have also committed an update to the sync(8) manual page, which documents that running sync three times in a row hasn't been necessary since the 80s.
A good app for notes, but not necessarily a notes app.
UI similar to Apple Notes but it HAS to have an Android + macOS + iOS app and must sync to Nextcloud/Webdav.
I use iWriter Pro, NC Notes and 1Writer now but I'm sick and tired of using Markdown for notes and writing.
"Our brain waves can align when we work and play closely together. The phenomenon, known as interbrain synchrony, suggests that collaboration is biological."
Yesyesyes ! At last I found a replacement for gpodder.net to sync my podcast feeds between terminals.
Since it's a small app I hosted it on a free plan hosting service. #podcast#feed#sync#selhosted
GitHub - bohwaz/micro-gpodder-server: A minimalist GPodder server, using the same API, for self-hosting
OC UPDATED: There are now multiple iOS / Android apps in development for kbin & lemmy!
The amount of apps being developed for iOS / Android is getting really crazy now and new apps keep popping up every day. Updated list below:...
I want to move to Linux but I need to be able to access my apps that are not supported

Query about the syncing of subscribers numbers between instances.
This may have been answered before, but I cannot find a definitive answer to this....
