Hey, I use the Adobe Suite for daily use to build and develop posts and videos for multiple people and can't have my workflow slow down by learning a new application, I've looked into Linux a few times and want to really move over in the future but due to it not having support for Adobe, I'm not sure what to do....
I've been using a cloud hosting provider under sync.com, great for actively syncing my files between machines I might be using as well if I wished to have any employees's later on as I was paying close to £30 a month I decided that it was best to self-host my files even if it was just by 10TB Hard Drives that only cost £200...
Is there any way to step through a Keynote presentation using MIDI without spending any money to do it? Basically I want to run a Keynote with lyrics and have it synced to the rest of the sequence
My iPod has had its battery at this one sliver since last night before bed. I’m having it play music constantly to drain the battery completely so I can recalibrate it. This is day 3 🤣 #sync#retrotech#apple
A good app for notes, but not necessarily a notes app.
UI similar to Apple Notes but it HAS to have an Android + macOS + iOS app and must sync to Nextcloud/Webdav.
I use iWriter Pro, NC Notes and 1Writer now but I'm sick and tired of using Markdown for notes and writing.
Well I just found a security vulnerability with my bank’s systems. Reported it immediately. I will not be disclosing what I found just yet and seeing if it’s just specific to that institution as well. #sync#infosec
I am absolutely disappointed and appalled at the blatant security issues with both @\Steam and @\WarThunder as they require mobile apps for 2FA. Why the hell are you trying to reinvent the wheel when you're not involved in #InfoSec. It should be standard TOTP or FIDO #sync
That moment when you get so disatisfied with every mortgage calculator not having biweekly and overpayment options to play with for seeing how much you save that you learn python to do it. It will be on the GitHub shortly with the other tools https://github.com/ChiefGyk3D/budgeting_tools#sync
Anyone tested PouchDB in the browser and set it up so it syncs with CouchDB? I'm trying to make a minimal thing and was wondering if it could sync a blob/attachment. That way I could get away with some html/css/javascript on github.io and only CouchDB as a webserver.
😎 We are wrapping 2023 on a high note with a feature-packed #browser update on desktop that includes a new Sessions Panel, Full History #Sync, Workspace Rules & more. 🔥

Mastodon clients in the Apple ecosystem can sync timeline read position using iCloud.
That’s nice because you can always continue reading your timeline from where you left of, even if you switch from phone to computer etc.
Would it be technically possible to instead have a timeline read position as a variable connected to your account in the server that clients can read and write to? 🤔
That way it wouldn’t matter which client or OS you are using, you could still have a synced timeline experience.
The fact @\Activision is having issues with COD being hacked is EXACTLY why I’ve been pounding the issue on #infosec needing to be in the gaming industry. Just wait until people start figuring out kernel level anti cheat exploits. It will happen #cybersecurity#gaming#sync
I noticed that all of my sync'd music on my iPhone was... gone? Some weird issue with the last update I guess. Trying to sync again failed. The fix is to force quit MDCrashReportTool.
Syncthing and other similar software are great, but sometimes you just want a simple, lightweight, and fast way to mirror things, specially if the remote and/or local machines have limited resources.
Here is my ultra minimalistic set and forget (I hope) 2-in-1 rsync based mirror script that can be used in a cron and called manually at the same time. If there is a problem with the transfer, you even get an email.
OC UPDATED: There are now multiple iOS / Android apps in development for kbin & lemmy!
The amount of apps being developed for iOS / Android is getting really crazy now and new apps keep popping up every day. Updated list below:...
I want to move to Linux but I need to be able to access my apps that are not supported

OC I've been transferring files for over 7 days.

OC I have a feeling that Sync for Reddit may something something...
