Hello #metalheads all over fediverse. 🤘 My partner and me liked the idea of introducing the #SlowSunday
Maybe some of you will like it, too. It should include all slow metal songs from genres like for example #DoomMetal#StonerMetal#SludgeMetal
First one is 'Unmapped Territories of Clans Without Names' from Eremit a band from Osnarbrück (Germany). Live really good! I saw them 2022 at the Chaos Decends Festival.
Yes, I'm a little late but I got out of bed very slowly!
Contributing to @Carex's #Slowsunday for the first time with a bit of #Stonermetal from a few years back.
This is 'Black Smokers' by Lochness, a deep-sea-themed band that came out with this absolute stonker of an album in 2019, then as far as I can tell disappeared off the scene? I'd love to hear more from them after this debut.
Their sound is intended to evoke the crushing pressures of extreme ocean depths.
DVNE from #Scotland will release their next album on april 19th. The music is a very nice mix of #sludgemetal, #progmetal and #postmetal, all inspired by the stories of Frank Herbert’s Dune.
Then first single already sounds on fire and the setlist for the album looks promising. Check em out!
I am bringing you something by the belgian band Amenra. A band I discovered last Feb when a friend convinced me to join him in a concert.
I cannot describe what I felt. It was almost a religious experience. Never before I saw a venue in such a silence and people demanding silence when some noise was heard. You'll understand when you click on play...
MANTAR (meaning mushroom in turkish) from Hamburg, Germany. A duo formed in 2012 by two guys originally from Bremen. They are playing some awesome blackened sludge metal... 🎶
"[...] influenced by the early works of bands such as Melvins, Darkthrone and Motörhead." (wiki)
Because of course there's a metal band named Bog Body, and of course someone like me loves their utterly CRUSHING album 'Cryonic Crevasse Cult' from last year.
If you're into metal and haven't heard it, give it a listen.
From 60s R&B funk to sludge metal in the mid-2010s, a couple of 45s from classic New Orleans bands, The Meters and Eyehategod. Picked up at local NOLA recod shop, Sisters In Christ, along with a fun tote.
