Our neighbourhood is giving good farmy vibes at the moment. Two gentle-looking coos in a field at the end of the road…and sheeps…and lambs in another! I can hear the sheep when I’m in the garden. It’s rather lovely.

Out for a solo nature bimble from the gîte. Lots of lovely wildlife and flowers, nothing very eventful until I stopped to say bonjour to some sheeps and lambs. They were quite noisy so I started to video them…then became aware of heavy feets thundering towards me…
I know that these guard dogs can clear fences if they think their flock is threatened, so I made a hasty exit. Luckily he stopped and sat down and only eyed me suspiciously as I admired from a safer distance! 😅
This morning's lamb rescue. The poor thing had been stuck between wall and tree for 18+ hours. We heard it bleating loudly yesterday lunchtime but couldn't see it and assumed it was another from the flock making the noise. It was only this morning when we heard it again with no other sheep about that we looked properly. Hopefully it's just tired and hungry and will be ok now. #sheepOfMastodon
