Fedivision2024 is now underway, 72 tracks, 3 votes per person, and even a popup channel on RFF if you want to listen there.

My entry will be available on bandcamp/mirlo/kofi after the voting concludes. For now, it can be found here: fedivision.party/

🧵 This post will also be the start of a thread where I note my thoughts on the tracks

So basically I’m just distorting the fuck out of the drum bus because I’m the hardest person in the shed.

I haven’t finalized what goes in the new #shed yet, but I’m happy with the way it’s shaping up so far. #ShedPorn

I have to fix some plaster in the hallway of our house, so of course that means I'm building shelves for camping gear in the (the temporary shelving it was on was getting too sketchy, and when my son came back from camping last weekend it all ended up sitting in a heap on top of the table saw, which I need to use to rip down a skirting board to fit after the one I pulled off to get the new sheet of plaster on splintered into matchsticks).

Almost finished my grown up Daughter's Christmas present.
This is a wooden hedgehog house.

I made an inner box from 12mm OSB then clad it using home milled Cherry wood (sides & roof) and thin T&G boards in Meranti made from my Daughter's old back door.

Welcome to part 11 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor by adding a chandelier!

Added a plywood panel to hold the switch and things that need to be hung. Then I wired up the led lights so I can see on those dark winter nights. Ran the snow blower up and down the ramp a few times too. I plan to store as much as I can on dollies so I can move things easily around f I need to.

Welcome to part 10 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor by adding doors to the new shed!

Next, I built up the doors, doors seem to take just as long as the shed to put together. It was the same way with the greenhouse. Day for the building, a day for the doors.

I did manage to lock myself out of the shed and figure out how to break into it so #AchievementUnlocked.

Welcome to part 9 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor with a new shed! Duh! Duh! Duuuuh!

After the floor had dried, we set out to put the shed together. The kt went together pretty easily but got to the point where the walls and roof were done before we had to call it a day.

The shed at the end of they day, the doors need to be put together yet.

Welcome to part 8 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor with some paint!

After the rain, I set about painting the floor of the shed. After a coat of paint, I wasn’t happy with the cracks in the plywood, so I ended up filling them with some filler and sanding the floor. I then put on a second coat of paint. It now looks better to me.

#diy #SummerProject

The shed floor with a second coat of paint, the small cracks are gone and it looks much better now. The expansion joints in the floor are still there as but I can live with those.

Welcome to part 7 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor with a golden screw -- ok it was a brown deck screw, but you get the idea!

In between the heat and rain this week I managed to get the deck and ramp framed, taped, and covered with the decking. Soon it will be time for the shed, but that should not take long at all as it’s a metal one, but for now, I think I am done with the woodwork.

#diy #SummerProject

The decking has been installed and screwed down on the porch and ramp for the shed. The "golden screw" was the one on the ramp, 2nd board from the top. upper edge. :)

Welcome to part 6 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor with another hole!

Got the ramp pad dug out and sorted and hauled in another cubic yard of washed rock. Making the cutouts in 4x6s to go around the big roots took most of a day - fiddly stuff. Finally made all the beams and joists for the porch. Go the compactor coming tomorrow for the gravel and then i can start on the porch.

The Shed base, and the gravel pads for the shed's porch and ramp. The joists for the porch are stored on the shed floor.

Welcome to part 5 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor with some beams and plywood.

Oh what a long few days, compacted the gravel then made the beams. The floor frame came next and then the sheeting. The next thing to do is make the “porch and ramp” as that first step is a doozie.

Welcome to part 4 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor by with the mantra 🎵 keep on digging..., keep on digging...🎵 (sung like Dory from Finding Nemo).

This week removed the soil, installed the geotextile, moved 2 cubic yards of stone, and graded it level-ish (slightly away from the house). I think I am done with the pack and shovel for now. The bricks are at the perimeter of where the shed will go.

Welcome to part 3 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor by digging a bigger hole.

This week I removed the topsoil and sod, filling the compost pile up again. I was able to reuse some of the old crushed stone under the 4x6s after screening the soil out of it. I still have to remove a bunch of the old dirt in the middle of both areas and add more 4x6s.

Welcome to part 2 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor removing the shed around the hole.

The old metal shed was serviceable, the sliding door has issues but it worked. The rust patina, and faux wood paneling matched the area it was in, but it was time for it to go as a quarter of the floor had dry rotted out and the rest if it was not far behind.

Welcome to part 1 of the series on How to Fix a Hole in the Shed Floor. In this episode, we fix the hole in the #shed floor by building a #greenhouse.

I expanded the old greenhouse pad in the back yard to accommodate a new greenhouse, which has a frame annoyingly 1” bigger than the foundation I had. I just attached some new 4”x6”s to the sides of the existing left and front beams, then capped them off with a ring of cedar fence boards
