Doch wie kann die #Verkehrswende sozial gerecht gestaltet werden? Wie kann sie nicht nur in der Stadt, sondern auch auf dem Land gelingen?
🚗 In Paris müssen auswärtige SUV-Fahrer und Besitzer anderer schwerer Autos von September an dreimal höhere Parkgebühren zahlen. Sollten norddeutsche Städte sich daran ein Beispiel nehmen?
"Die FDP bemängelt die Umsetzbarkeit: "Wie sollen Kontrolleure erkennen, ob es sich tatsächlich um ein Auto mit 1,6 Tonnen handelt? Es müssten Verzeichnisse mitgeführt werden, das halte ich für nicht umsetzbar."

Kennzeichen sind mit den Fahrzeugmodellen problemlos in Verbindung zu bringen, und damit ist auch das Gewicht einfach zu ermitteln. Digitalisierung first, Bedenken Second, ihr wisst schon.
Paris will die Parkgebühren für schwere Autos wie SUV deutlich erhöhen. Das Modell stößt auch in Deutschland eine Debatte an - unter anderem darüber, wie viel Handlungsspielräume Kommunen haben sollten. Von P. Rosenthal.

Adfree Cities, an advocacy group in the UK successfully got an ad for the Toyota Hilux SUV that shows drivers ripping through sensitive natural areas and cities taken off the airwaves and streets.

Donc grâce à un référendum un peu bidonné, les propriétaires de #SUV parisiens ont décidé de libérer des places pour eux dans la capitale en y triplant le prix du stationnement pour les SUV des non parisiens ? C'est bien ça ?

The Q. is how effective will the measure (passed by referendum this weekend) be in reducing #emissions in the city & freeing up roads for other modes of transport.
Given many urbanites hate these massive cars, it will be interesting to see if where Paris has led, other cities will follow.
Or if it doesn't work as intended (the rich drivers, at least, may just pay the fees), then will it be SUV exclusion zones next?

On a referendum held in #Paris on Sunday, where 54.6% of voters supported special parking fees for heavy and polluting cars, such as #SUV s, to reduce air pollution and #climate breakdown.

The cost to park #SUVs in Paris's central districts for drivers that do not have a special licence from local authorities is set to soar to €18 (£15) per hour for the first 2 hours, compared to €6 (£5) per hour for smaller cars.
After that, #parking will become increasingly punitive.
A 6 hour stay with an #SUV will cost €225 (£192), compared to €75 (£64) for smaller vehicles.
