Hard to imagine the Stones on tour in 2024 and they play the stadium in Glendale AZ tonight just a mile or so from my home. Saw them 3 times, starting 1969. DECADES ago! Not one ounce of interest for me now but for a good 45 years they really were the world’s best rock ‘n roll band. In honor of their history, here is a favorite early song. #RollingStones#Stones#Arizona

The group Ozzy Osbourne called the "next Rolling Stones"
Ozzy Osbourne had a pedigree as a certified rock god, but he thought these newcomers could have matched The Rolling Stones if they had stayed together.
Hi-res #AlbumArt for the #RollingStones' Emotional Rescue (1980) album. This is a fun one - Second place on their B-list, right behind Goats' Head Soup.
🆕 blog! “Gig Review: The Leo Green Orchestra perform The Rolling Stones at the London Palladium”
★★★★☆
For the first time in its illustrious 114 year history, the historic London Palladium will host a monthly orchestral residency beginning in February 2024, which will see iconic artists’ music celebrated. This …
Great opening track, a great closing track, and one of my two personal favorite Stones songs in “You’ve Got The Silver” (the other being “Salt Of The Earth” from Beggars Banquet).
This pressing has a bit of a goofy label.
STONES is actually singular, & the XZAL number at the bottom is upside down & missing a parentheses.
Bang up quality control. #vinyl#vinylrecords#60s#1960s

GEORGE LYNCH On Being Excluded From ROLLING STONE's List Of '250 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time': 'It's A Short List'
Today in History December 4, 1971: An audience member in Montreux Casino, on the shoreline of Lake Geneva, fired a flare gun at Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention, who were performing there, causing a fire that destroyed the venue and inspired the classic song by Deep Purple: "Smoke on the Water." Deep Purple, who were in the audience, were there to record their album, Machine Head, with a mobile recording system borrowed from the Rolling Stones.
I threw a few logs in the fire, it's plenty cold outside, I'd like to keep a base of coal in the stove, just in case.
I should be dressed & outside. I really do hate the cold, but I have some gravel & soil to spread around. If it warms up enough, I'll check the vehicles again. I saw a drip spot on gravel.
Have a most excellent day, eh!
