Polestar, Fisker, Lucid, Rivian, etc., they're all in the same boat. They're making expensive BEVs in a world that is losing interest in this fad. Eventually, probably all of them will shut down or shift to some other business.
My first EV was a VW e-Golf. Got it in 2019. Now we have three EVs in the family. I got the Polestar 2, the first car to have @Vivaldi available. We also have an Audi e-Tron.
Most of the time we charge at home. It is easiest and most of the time we do not drive far enough to have to charge somewhere else. When we do, there are fast chargers.
The cost of charging is a lot less than using gasoline.
The range of these cars is not as large as many of the newer models, but it does not matter, most of the time.
If you have never tried an EV, maybe next time you should give it a try. IMHO it is a much better experience.
I feel like I'm channeling Kefka in saying that I hate, hate, hate the lack of a rear window and the absolute dependency on a camera and a rearview mirror with a screen to see out the back of the vehicle.

Yes, we are talking a lot about @Vivaldi in cars. We are very proud of Vivaldi being available in cars from #Polestar, #Renault, #Volvo, #Audi and #Mercedes-Benz, with #Porsche, #Ford, and #Lincon coming soon, as well as more vehicles from the VW group and a lot more. It is a big deal!
At the same time, what allows us to build a great browser for cars is the effort we put into our desktop and mobile browsers in general. We are upping our efforts there as well!

“Polestar states that it has focussed heavily on the 5's chassis and underpinnings, using a bonded aluminium construction that aims for "supercar levels of torsional stiffness, which is fundamental to class-leading ride and handling dynamics,"”
Bonded aluminum, you say? I wonder if #Polestar is the first application of the modular EV platform that #Lotus has been developing?
“By 2026, it will boast a line-up that includes saloons, hatchbacks and neo-sports cars, while its upcoming 4, which is set to be a crossover vehicle, will feature high levels of autonomy that will allow drivers to enjoy hands-off and eyes-off where permitted.”
Something to consider when my ID4 lease expires in 2.5 years.
I went to look at the Polestar in Corte Madera before I leased my ID4 but I didn't like it. Call me shallow but the yellow safety belts and yellow calipers on the performnce model put me off.
The sales rep in the Polestar showroom also wasn't interested in trying the sell/lease me the car. Guess I wasn't dressed up enough.🤷♂️
I like the Lucid a lot more and the Lucid rep (in the showroom right behind Polestar's) didn't care what I looked like and tried to get me to test drive 1 but I didn't want to waste his time bc there's no way that I'd lease or buy a Lucid for THAT kind of $.
Just upgraded my #Polestar#Polestar2 to P2.11, which includes…a setting for disabling the (gets my phone crazy hot, because Apple+Qi I guess) wireless charging pad in the console! 🙌🏻
Considering I have to plug my phone in for CarPlay anyways, that was always irritating. Now I can keep my phone in that spot right side up 🤣 #FirstWorldProblems
So far we have been available on select #Polestar, #Renault, #Mercedes-Benz and #Audi cars, with more #VW group vehicles coming up soon.
Now we are expanding to all those cars having Android Automotive with the Google Play store. This includes Polestar and Renault, but also Volvo, with more coming soon. Given all those #Volvo owners that have been asking for Vivaldi, it will be there soon!
