It does seem to be pretty responsive though the screen size is a tiny bit smaller than the standard Mac displays, which can cause problems. Games seem to run fine, applications work as well as they would under #MinivMac and I just can't get over seeing the "Welcome to Macintosh" on this screen 🥰
PocketCHIP got some uptime tonight. I managed to get apt working again (jessie repo is on archive.debian.com this week).
I'd left myself a note on the PocketCHIP to install and try the epiphany web browser, so I did. Unfortunately it really doesn't like the tiny screen -- the ui takes up too much room, leaving a url bar thats about 2 characters wide... But it will accept a url on the command line.
After making some really sketchy repository changes and doing an incantation, I got some X11 sources installed and Mini VMac actually compiled without issue!
And look! It’s speaking AppleTalk (UDP) on my network!! Hahaha this is so weird to me. Should I print something to my AppleTalk ImageWriter II from my handheld? 😅
After a few tries I was able to fully print from Quark XPress to the ImageWriter II over #AppleTalk with the #AirTalk from the #PocketChip! It wasn’t quick but it worked!
