Seit Dienstag gehen sämtliche #Nitter Instanzen nicht mehr; das ist i.d.R. ein Indiz dafür, dass #Musk schon wieder an den APIs herum fummelt.

Das passt thematisch zu der Schlussfolgerung bei #hakendran , dass #Twitter / #X absolute Notfallmaßnahmen gegen die Flut an Bots unternimmt, wo dann solche externen Dienste wie Nitter unter die Räder kommen. Das war das letzte Mal so, als alle außer mit einem Twitter Account Twitter Verbot bekommen haben.

It's come to my attention that a lot of y'all don't know about Nitter.

It allows you to view an important account (fire department, public safety, etc) on the birdsite w/o having an account or being tracked.

You can also use it via Fedilab for Android to follow a specific birdsite handle alongside other Fedi timelines.

I've now been on #Mastodon for a month! After posting at least once per day, some thoughts:

People here value hobbies and personal qualities rather than your contribution to a grand discourse.

A small userbase can actually be a good thing. Find your niche, or create it!

Social media can still be a fulfilling experience, rather than an outlet of bombardment & stress.

This may not be the "everything" app, but it can be your home on the web if you put in the effort!

@apps : Sorry for German: Ist es irgendwie möglich mit #Fedilab einen Twitter-Account zu folgen und wenn ja wie funktioniert das? #Nitter ist wohl eine WebUI, das nützt mir nichts. Es wäre schön wenn das mit Fedilab geht, da ich noch vielen Accounts drüben aus beruflichen Gründen folgen muss. Leider wollen die nicht ins #Fediverse wechseln. Vielen lieben Dank.

You are many asking how to change your default #Nitter instance.

For that go to "Settings > Privacy".

Enable Twitter frontend, and tap on the instance to change.
You can then freely turn off the frontend after that.

Once tapped, you can enter the domain (without https or /)

Twitterを引用すると外部から読めないなので、Firefoxの拡張機能Format linkを使ってTwitterブラウザNitterのリンクを貼るようにしてます

もともとのTwitterがタイトルにツイート内容を入れてくれるので、Nitter経由でもタイトルとURLをコピーすると内容が入ります。なので、そのまま貼り付ければアカウントがなくても読める引用ができます #mastodontips #twitter #nitter #firefox #chrome
