Well here it is almost noon and lunchtime and I haven't done anything but sit here snuggled up on my comfy couch, sipping away at my coffee ☕, scrolling through my Mastodon feeds and listening to the rain bounce off the roof. 🥴
Yeah, rough, but somebody's gotta "bite the bullet" n getter done. 😁 LOL...😄
So, I suppose I should get up and do something. At least fix up the coffee pot for morning's brewing and maybe grab something good eating for lunch...😋🤔
But it's so nice n warm n comfy here... guess it all can wait a bit longer...👍
Hope y'all are having as good n "productive" a day #today as I am. If not, then feel free to take a seat n #joinin. It'll all still be there, waiting on ya, later. 😉

Hiya!
Here its evening. Have had a rather productive day cleaning my house 😊
But now chilling on the couch. Doing a bit of Mastodon, and going to start to watch part two of S2 of #FireflyLane on #Netflix now.
It's almost muscle memory now to check the latest news on the #Netflix adaption of The Three-Body Problem every time I start a new show, and I always get the same result: there isn't too much out there.
That was the last Verge article on it! Fwiw, I think that's for the better. I don't believe that creating newsworthy/hype content around the show is easy. But maybe I'm biased; I've already read two of the three books -- it would be very hard for me to encapsulate its actual depth in a news article. Anyway, I can't wait to watch that show. I have high expectations!
Well, this is interesting. Amazon's putting prices for Amazon Prime in Australia up from 24th of May. Here's how to save a few bucks, and how Prime Video compares against other streaming services:
One episode away from finishing the first season of #TheNightAgent on #Netflix. It's one of the most thrilling, nuanced, brilliantly written and acted espionage series I've ever seen. Every scene is gripping. It's also very underrated online. Don't miss it.
Standing Up: Mariama Gueye is a comedian raising to stardom after posting her latest sketch. She struggles between being true to her values and following the needs of fame.
Queen: Sylwester, a Polish old man working in France as a tailor for a drag queen cabaret, travels back to Poland to meet his daughter for the first time
In Dark, children start vanishing from a German town. Families become aware of a wormhole near the local nuclear plant, connecting 5 different time lines.
What if Communist Poland had not fallen? In 1983 a terrorist attack changes the course of history. Forward to 2003, when the protagonists start to discover a resistance movement.
I really don’t understand why #Google or #Meta or #Amazon or #Microsoft or #Netflix or especially #Apple haven’t spun out an ultra reliable affordable notification network just for government and public service announcements. Owning that market and being a good steward of it would be such a huge public benefit and PR boost.

Just got into "The Diplomat" on #Netflix and getting some sweet "West Wing" flashbacks. Superb cast, frantic pace and I don't want to miss a single line. Keri Russel is just wonderful in her role.
It was a long time since a s1e1 hooked me this hard.
An article written by someone who works in the field of film as a critic, yet it's based on an entirely incorrect premise - that streaming isn't as good as DVD rental due to inavailability off movies. Except, the availability of movies is entirely down to studios and publishers and whether they will license the movies on any given medium.
Amazon would no doubt be selling and renting it on Prime Video if they could get licences to do so...
