I first saw BLOB DYLAN graffiti when I visited Bushwick, Brooklyn, in January 2021. Despite being a life-long resident of Brooklyn, that was only the second time I had been to Bushwick. I did not see any more BLOB DYLAN's prior to May 26, 2024, when I crossed into Bushwick for the third time. I was on about mile 18 of what would end up being a 22.6 mile walk, but that did not stop me from documenting my first BLOB in more than three years.
(Note: I was not 100% sure whether this was in Bushwick or Ridgewood until I checked a map. Fortunately, I made note of the fact I found BLOB at the intersection of Wycoff and DeKalb Avenues.)
Cool, cool. End of August. Sure, no rush, bike lanes don't need protection or anything.
(#NYC's 311 has entries allowing you to report multiple types of 'illegal' games, but nothing for reporting any kind of unsafe bike lane situation. So you just send a generic comment to #NYCDOT Queens commissioner, which may get answered eventually..) #BikeNYC
wondering if there's a space like @offline in NYC. Know of a couple of hackerspaces but they feel a bit different (based on very limited research and experience...).
Also just generally looking for more folks who align with things you see on https://offline.place/ and would like to hang out/collaborate 🤔 after attending p4p, it's clear that I want more in-real-life interactions 😄
My last public appearance of the season is this Saturday, June 1st!
Join me for a "Pollinator Safari / Walkabout" from 1-3pm at the East 4th Street Community Garden in Kensington, Brooklyn:
"We'll "hunt" for pollinators, and other flower visitors, around the garden. As we try to identify them, we'll learn about the garden’s biodiversity and ecology."
the recent crackdown on unlicensed #nyc#cannabis bodegas has ushered in a massive overnight vibe shift from over-the-top garish to hilariously anonymous. the next phase in weed bodega aesthetics, already a topic for street art documentarians. (photos by a pal, but expect to see it in my neighborhood soon.)
I love my handsome gray former-foster boy Cloud so much that every time I see a beauty like him I think for a second "what if i had..."
But, we also have Cleopatra now &that's what we have space for. So somebody else in #NYC should #Adoptdontshop & hit up #NYCACC to get these pretty kitties.
