Downloaded the Witcher 3 REDkit. Can't imagine I'll find the time to properly look into it within this year, but downloaded it nonetheless. https://www.gog.com/game/the_witcher_3_redkit
At this point I have about 100 mods installed (via Vortex, via SteamTinkerLaunch) and some new shaders in OpenMW and this 2002 game is looking mighty sweet, if'n I do say so myself.
I'm a moderate Modder. I don't particularly like vast HD texture overhauls that give everything noisy 'grain' at the expense of the under-stated original look but in some cases they can work wonders, like in the armour you see in the second screenshot I've posted.
I bloody love OpenMW's new Shader capability, though. God-rays suit Morrowind thematically. The enhanced point-source lighting is MWAH. And those Mist/Fog shaders do absolute wonders for the atmosphere of the game. It's so great being on a mountain peak and suddenly a whole area vanishes as the mist thickens...
Well I said I might slow down with releasing stuff but here we are...
I've been working on lots of Stardew Valley mods recently, and I used to use a great mod called GameSpeed that let you change the rate that the game runs at,, but sadly it's incompatible with the latest version.
So, of course I did the only normal thing to do and taught myself C# and wrote my own implementation of the idea for SV 1.6! :blobfoxcomfycomputer:
Here's a few relevant links if you're interested in taking a look ^^:
I think I'm Skyrim levels of in love with HZD now. It's not too difficult to run into new types of machines in the game, even this weird undocumented Strider I've come across.
Hey Mastodon gamers! My household has been watching the new Fallout show, and I've had Fallout 3 and New Vegas for a while parked on my Steam Deck... but haven't gotten around to actively playing them. The show is making me want to! And I want to start with 3.
However, given the age of the game, I'm wondering if I should set it up for mods on the Deck similar to my Skyrim. Are there critical bugfix patches I should get as mods right out of the gate? I'm thinking of trying to play as close to vanilla as possible, for my first attempt at playing the game. Recommendations for critical mods welcome!
💰 Modder packs an entire Nintendo Wii into a box the size of a pack of cards
—Ars Technica
「 One mod in this storied genre that caught our eye this week is the "Short Stack," a scale model of the Nintendo Wii that packs the 2006 console's internal hardware into a 3D-printed enclosure roughly the size of a deck of playing cards 」
small update for Improvisation! Adds an altfire to the mower, and several other tweaks and fixes. There will be more updates coming this month, big additions are coming!
Trying to make accounts on ZDoom and Doomworld forums to get into modding. Both websites have issues with me making accounts, both have hilariouly stringent password security requirements. ZDoom timed me out of trying to make an account for trying too many passwords (3) to fit their requirements, and I can't seem to get the Doomworld account confirmation email into my inbox. What a nice start :cat_laugh:
Plans for tomorrow: setting up Ultimate Doom Builder, WHacked, Slade, and potentially Trenchbroom on my Linux laptop. I do wanna get into this modding situation for real! #BoomerShooters#modding#Doom#Quake
Woke up today from tossing around in bed with two things stuck in my head: the damn Cerveza Cristal meme song, and the idea to make a Doom mod in MBF21 standard to convert the weapon sets from the Final Doomer+ mod for GZDoom. Now, I know I won't be able to convert all the special weapons and effects from that engine with these limitations, but a few of them should be easy, right? Would be a cool project to learn Doom modding. #Doom#modding#boomerShooters
The PSP battery mod works nicely and the bluetooth board fits nicely in the free space.. There even is enough space left for some microSD storage slits! :3
Once I tested the bluetooth audio mod only the USB-C power mod needs to be done (which is rather easy, it's simply a new plug). And the microSD storage 3D model, of course. #retro#gaming#modding#diy#soldering#Sony#Playstation#PSP
The last update for for the Zelda RTS, Hyrule Conquest, by chasen lindsey, askarus and exodarion
makes it one of the biggest mods of pyrogenesis! In some ways even bigger than the game itself.
