Ada leads the front of house and moderation side of Blåhaj Zone, while Kaity leads the back-end and maintains Hajkey for us & a small group of other instances.

I actually had a #misskey account a while back, but I think I was on a bit of a sleepy instance and focused on #Mastodon. I do miss the longer posts & neat features of misskey/calckey though, so giving this another try - maybe for longer posts.

Linux_Is_Best, to fediverse

I have been thinking of trying, Sharkey, but for some reason, Fosstodon seems to have an issue with both Misskey and Sharkey.

For reasons unknown, they're either blocked or silenced on nearly every instance or report a connection error, suggesting Fosstodon has blocked them.

Anyone know what's up?

I am seeing many #Africans sign up for Threads as well. I believe #Meta will do what I had hoped #Misskey & #Mastodon would do: bring #BlackTwitter & #BlackInstagram to the #Fediverse.

It will be interesting seeing the #BlackThreads community interact with #BlackMastodon once Threads activates #ActivityPub support.

Using can be confusing.

  1. No back button. When you hit phone's button to go back to timeline, it moves me back on top of the timeline. Really annoys me.
  2. Let's say I see a post with comments. I have no clue how to either like or respond one of the comments.

If you are on a , , , , etcetera instance, you might want to consider sending some funds to the site owner (& Fediverse platform creators) as they will need it sooner rather than later.

I expect the cost of instances to increase further once embraces .

Ich habe vorhin mal ein wenig mit herum gestestet, ich fand es bisher .. leider enttäuschend.

Verglichen mit fühlt es sich wie ein (teilweise erhebliches) Downgrade an. Das ist schade, denn die Idee, eng am Code zu bleiben, ist natürlich gut! Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, das weiter zu beobachten. :)

Ich werde mir als nächstes wohl ansehen. Das ist eine Weiterentwicklung bzw eher Stabilisierung von 1.0.3. Die Devs wollen fixen was da ist und gebraucht wird, anstatt auf immer neue Features zu setzen. Dürfte mir deutlich besser passen, aber es kann halt irgendwann auch "den selben Tod sterben", wie offenbar Firefish gerade: Zu wenige Devs.

Na mal schauen. Im Moment schnurrt meine Firefish Instanz ja, also keine Eile von Nöten. 🙂

Excited about all the stuff on #Misskey, apparently it didn't start out as fediverse and has tons of it's own special stuff you won't see in your own (incompatible) instance.

Buuut....I can see posts and follow people and that's all I care about! It's crazy how well this stuff works. And you don't need to know how for it to work. Feels really special in a way the web hasn't since RSS or so. Actual interoperability, what I always wanted since the algo period began.
