If anyone’s interested, I just canceled MAX streaming…but they gave me a half price option x 3 months to encourage me to not cancel…the price reverts to the No-ads $15.99/mo after those three months.
I really wish the dev team over at Discovery would stop breaking things in the #Max app on #Roku.
Now, in order to use captions, you have to go back to the Roku home, turn captions off on your Roku, then go back into the Max app and turn captions on in the app when you start the episode.
You have to repeat that whole process for each individual episode you want to watch. If you start an episode with captions already turned on, they won't work. #a11y

@rml True. I remember years ago when people were describing #Max and #PureData as "visual" PLs. But the graphic, visual aspect was completely secondary: they are dataflow PLs. And you can describe the same signal processing in Faust, SC, etc. There's a difference there that's way beyond what it "looks like".

The HBO, sorry, MAX app is super great. I love when the selection highlight gets stuck in the corner like this and I have to scroll past things to get them high enough on the screen to read. 🤦♂️ It's been broken like this since it "updated" to Max so going on, what, a month or two now.
