We came home from the lake, and I noticed the dark violet color variety of #iris was in bloom. #hydrangeas are changing colors nicely. Kengo gave a side eye...
Every year I fertilize the hydrangeas differently. Some years they are blue, some years pink, and this year they were verging on purple. Luckily, I remembered to cut a few for drying that were showing off their fall color just before the hard freeze hit.
@druid and moi were visiting a great garden near #Porthaethwy called Plas Cadant yesterday where they have amassed a collection of over a hundred different hydrangeas, including blue ones.
This almost unreal beauty is called Magical Constellation and it absolutely glowed blue from the other side of the garden.
Neat growth habit and masses of serrated cupped flowers covered the plant.
My #purple#hydrangeas ❤An entitled rich old lady tried to tell me that my print pricing was too high. That selfish privileged woman is a multi millionaire - she collects Porsches & lives in huge gated mansion w/3 multi cars garages & a garage built specifically for her Porsche cars collection. She can afford to pay full price but is a stupid rich bitch who thinks she can bully cheaper price. I hate ppl like that. I refused to sell to her & she hates me to this day. Good. Hated by right folks.
I’m so proud of my flowers and shrubs this year! I don’t have a green thumb and usually psych myself out from even attempting to grow anything, but I’m really trying this year. These pics are of established plants that came with the house, so I just need to let them do their thing and focus on not accidentally killing them. This year, for the 1st time, I actually tried pruning them. Seems to have helped! The rose bush is the fullest it’s ever been. 🌹❤️
These are Colorado wildflowers I am trying to grow myself for the 1st time this year (also, ever). They are covered up with netting to perfect them from an impending hail storm so the view isn’t great. Only pics so far of the ones that seem to be succeeding, but crossing my fingers that the others pull through too (looking at you, black eyed susans!)
