Because everyone says that, but then I see shit like that poll that feels very medicalist and implying that you have to be on HRT or else your transition doesn't count.

Hey #trans peeps who are on HRT, I have a theory about our community in the Fedi. It seems to me that most of us are either what I call "Pandemic Boys and Girls" who started their transition during lockdown, or those of us who seem to be a few months in. I'm in that second group. It's like the pandemic started us off, but we didn't quite get there for some reason until recently. So let's do a little poll.
How long have you been on #HRT, or alternatively how long since your definitive egg crack?
Now I'm like the #HRT so much that I'm wondering --in theory--that if I called the sperm bank in the morning for a meeting in a couple of weeks at most, would I still have viable sperm if I took regular HRT?
Or would it depend on stuff like the dosages or taking it every other day instead of every day?
I'm drafting up a looooooong message to mom explaining the mechanics of the whole situation since it is a lot to remember for casual conversation and order. I've been through a lot this month.
And at the end of it, I'll be linking multiple informative trans-related essays and an excerpt of The Gender Dysphoria Bible.
The whole thing is almost done. I gave definitions of HRT, gender euphoria, and gender dysphoria. I also went a step-by-step process of the two-pronged method I used to obtain #HRT . I also told of why I used the Venmo + PayPal thing to begin with and gave insight into just how well-prepared I was in this.
I also ask "Would any cis person go to this level of preparation on order to change their gender?" Then answer is no.
I'll have 2 dates I consider my "transiversary." The 1st is the sudden egg crack (7/11/2023) when I slipped on a dress for the first time. The 2nd is when I take my first #HRT pill. If all goes well with the shipment (ie, doesn't get stuck in customs), I will begin my #transition in 7 days.
This is the next step. I've socially transitioned, am out and loved by my family & friends, have felt the sheer #gendereuphoria of being able to freely love your friends platonically as a woman, untangled myself out of the web of both cisgenderism and attraction to men (which was weak even when I was "cis het"), started gently nudging my aging mother away from the #deadname she still sometimes uses out of a 28-year-habit, and see the beauty of transitioning more and more each day.
As of yesterday, I can say that being #trans is the best thing that has happened to me.
This week on #StainedGlassWoman, we're going to be Walking the Tightrope as we take a careful look at the inherent risks DIY HRT presents to those who rely on it. By doing so, I'm hoping to help those folks to stay as safe as possible while they use it, and give everyone else some important safety knowledge, just in case it becomes necessary.

Hi friends! My doc just bumped me up to 200mg spiro / day, which is just two of the 100mg tablets. I'm curious if its better to take them both together or split them between morning / night. Is there any difference in effect?

The #transition will start and #HRT will be allowed to do its magic. I am fully willing to keep a daily photo timeline of how my body will change. Hell, I'm also willing to photograph the pace of my breast development. Unsure if I'll post the NSFW stuff here, but I'll surely CW it if I do.
I normally don't like doing this at all, but when I made the payment for the #DIYHRT shipment, my bank account comes up short and there's not enough money to pay my insurance this month. Insurance that I will need for appointments and paying for #HRT the legit way in the future.
So below is my venmo account for anyone who wants to donate to help me fund my insurance payments for this month. I was originally thinking "This isn't as severe as helping trans women move to a less-hostile environment," but then I realized that that was impostor syndrome talking. And that if you need help, you need help.
To anyone that will say "Get a job," I'm working on it via talking with job coaches. The process is slow, but steady. Hopefully, I will not have to do this again.

Transfemme Mastodon has been a giant love-fest of nothing but support from the moment I set foot here. Even the radical politics are borne of a sense of self-preservation and righteousness.
I love this place. And considering my egg cracked only two weeks ago in an explosive mess, I have never been more sure of who I am than in this moment. Transfemme Mastodon has only affirmed that.
I eagerly await to start #HRT in the next few weeks and have my body coccoon into a wonderful, feminine butterfly.
In light of a potential nation-wide attack on trans-affirming healthcare, I think it's time that those of us who can help provide more direct solutions start doing so. (Us here meaning "cis accomplices" and "trans people with money/resources").
I can send you an offline resource on DIY #HRT, and a link to a Crimethinc article along the same lines for the production of transdermal estrogen. The former is a mirror of the #DIYHRT website, but with additional info added by myself. Treat it like a living document: add more info, translate it, provide notes and/or corrections, etc.
Both can be printed as #zines so this info can be distributed to #queer and/or #trans community groups to have physically available - or you can choose to maintain it as an easily-accessible digital file (or even just have it as a backup in case the original sources ever get taken down, for whatever reason).
This is not meant to happen at this point of my transition. I mean, it's a good problem to have though I guess. Though it was already hard to find bras in my size
It also really highlights the difference between injections and other methods. Even years of estrogen implants didn't do this, but a month of injections, and boom, boob growth
So, what except for the possibility of breaking the disinfection chain makes squeezing the oily substance out of a couple of #progesterone soft capsules into a syringe and administering it to oneself as an intramuscular injection, because I just did?
today marks 7 weeks i've been on T. who would have thought i would ever be comfortable with needles, let alone poking myself haha
so far, i'm mostly just sweatier, hungrier and hornier. oh, and the teenage acne is back 🥴
but! i think i may be noticing the first signs of my voice beginning to drop. it seems early, so i'm not getting my hopes up--especially since i'm microdosing (2.5ml per shot)--but i've been having trouble hitting high notes i didn't used to struggle with. the counterpoint is i'm also finding it easier to hit lower notes i used to struggle with. but there's always the chance that it's the voice training, so we'll see. :trans_fire: #hrt#testosterone#trans

Still feeling a lot better on the new #HRT but oh my goodness I feel like a barrel! No idea if this is bloating or putting on weight but either way it’s not good. And the period pain is back (normal apparently). So mostly good but could do with out feeling huge!!
