This week I'm officially beginning my work on #faircamp in the scope of the Faircamp 1.0 grant through #NGI0 Entrust @NGIZero, financed by @EC_NGI, which will span the next months throughout summer and early fall 2024 at least.
Working together with the people at NLnet foundation to set everything up has been a blast so far and I'm very grateful to be given this opportunity. <3 Everyone of you who use, support, contribute to, and spread the news about faircamp have made this possible as well, so thank you all!
First developments this week are the introduction of complicance with FSFE's https://reuse.software/ in the codebase, yesterday's release of a stable/version-locked AUR package (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/faircamp), setting up a dedicated "Feature suggestions" thread in the issue tracker (https://codeberg.org/simonrepp/faircamp/issues/90 - please read the fine print ;)), and some bugfixing work with support from @lislegaard which will go right into the next release. Excited to be back in the lab! \o/
In addition to Mirlo, I intend to get my music up on Faircamp, Funkwhale, Jam Co-op, etc.
But it took more time than I expected to get established on Mirlo, so when I went to the Faircamp site and saw a completely different setup that looks even more complicated, my brain was like NOPE. DRUGS ALL GONE. NOT ENOUGH BRAINS LEFT FOR TASK. :AAAAAA:

You can now find ”Living The Dream”, my official #fedivision2024 entry which made the top 10 (at number 9) out of 72 tracks \o/, at the following fine locations:
after much configuration and long build times, I have managed to upload the 130+ albums from my :bandcamp: Bandcamp page to Faircamp, the amazing site generator by @freebliss for music catalogs by artists and/or labels.
@sknob
Ocarina of Time (Super Guitar Bros). @mirlo@radiofreefedi@Looping
While I'm listening to the whole #Fedivision2024 playlist (more thoughts on that later!) I uploaded my "BBB (Big Boomer Bænd)" song (code [DEEP] on the #Fedivision website) on my #Faircamp instance. It's free to download in all its FLAC glory 😁
I haven’t shilled my band here in quite a long time. We haven’t been doing much this last couple of years to be honest as the singer has a wee baby but we’ll get round to some new bits eventually.
Who's got music they want me to check out? Send me your links!
Up to 15 mins worth of music, hosted on a service that allows payments and/or messages directly to the artists (self hosted, #Bandcamp, #Faircamp, @mirlo, jam.coop, SoundCloud, YouTube, etc but NOT Spotify, Tidal etc).
Oh and you have to follow me in some respect (I'll follow back! Looking for community, not "fans" or whatever).
