1/34 This started out as a much shorter thread about a related topic, but Something Happened and now it's a #LifeHack#instructional thread on keeping your house comfortable and saving #money and the #environment, through the magic of air movement. It's also timely, what with it being the start of the northern-hemisphere summer and southern-hemisphere winter.
6/34 In simpler terms: moving air feels warmer when heating, and feels colder when cooling. So with air that's moving, you don't need to set your thermostat quite as high when heating, or quite as low when cooling, to experience the same level of #comfort. This can save a significant amount of energy, plus it just feels better.
Luckily, compared to heating or cooling air, just moving it around is #cheap and #easy.
