Doug Ford stands behind controversial remarks: ‘I stick with what I said’
[edited: should read as "racist remarks"]
"There is no indication from police at this time that any of the suspects involved were immigrants, as Ford appeared to suggest, adding: “Before you plan on moving to Canada — don’t come to Canada if you’re going to start terrorizing neighbourhoods like this.”
#Ontario Premier #DougFord has suggested #immigrants r 2 blame 4 the shooting of empty #Jewish school in Toronto over wknd, despite police saying they have little info on the suspects
#Toronto police have said 2 suspects fired shots shortly before 5am last Sat @ #BaisChayaMushka Elementary School & that no 1 was injured, though there was damage 2 the building

Today there was a Trudeau-Ford joint announcement about an investment in a vaccine factory after that questions from the press. While discussing the recent shooting at a Jewish girls school Trudeau and the mayor of Toronto spoke about the need for safety and how the rise in antisemitism is unacceptable, Ford pulled a " racist Trump move".
Completely ignoring the home grown Conservative rage-farming....
Ford: "Those of you coming to Canada to cause trouble..."🤦
"Some have quite rightly asked: Is it really worth $225 million not to have to wait another 18 months? The answer is absolutely not. It’s grotesque. What the government should have done was simply cancel the existing MFA with The Beer Store via legislation, on the grounds it was a product of rank political corruption. (In fact it said it would do this, but legislation to that effect was never enacted.)"
The #Ontario government has promised $225-million to The #Beer Store, a private non-Canadian owned company, to support it while more beers start getting sold in corner stores.
Ford government uses new powers to sidestep Toronto’s say in Ontario Place plans
As a result of the zoning order, Toronto city council will no longer be able to weigh in on technical elements of the project as it does on other buildings that go through the local planning process.
Over 2 million Ontario residents without a physician and 👇
"Recruitment and retention of doctors in Ontario is "not a major concern," the Ministry of Health suggests in arguments it is making in arbitration with the Ontario Medical Association over physician compensation."
My stomach is churning....
Shades of Trump in this announcement about Honda. Of course Ford doesn't mention the Feds contribution.
I am waiting for the , "this is the bigglyist deal of the century".
"@ColinDMello: Premier Ford calls Economic Development Minister Vic Fedeli the “architect” of this deal.
The Ontario politicians are all wearing a pin bearing the flags of Japan-Canada-Ontario. "
I am sure more Ford scammers are among those raking in the profits:

"@bowker_john: Most rentals financed under the federal Apartment Construction Loan Program are charging higher than average rents. One Ottawa project, promoted as “the finest luxury rentals in the city,” met the program’s definition of “affordable” https://t.co/eJAgQPRiCe#cdnpoli #DougFord#Ontario#Housing
Strange times here in Ontario at the moment. We have Federal Conservative leader Poilievre telling us life here is terrible and its the fault of the Federal Liberals while Conservative Provincial Premier Ford is spending millions telling us how wonderful life is under his government.
There’s fierce competition in the unofficial race for Canada’s most dangerous premier, with Alberta’s Smith deliberately destabilizing her province’s health-care system and Sask’s Scott Moe literally breaking the law so he can thumb his considerable nose at the carbon tax. But with the most recent demonstration of his own unique brand of politics, Ontario’s Doug Ford just snuck back into the lead.
Grocery chain, Loblaw paid it's new CEO, Mr. Per Bank, $22-million during his first six months in the job.
$22 MILLION DOLLAR SALARY
Meanwhile, #Poilievre and the conservative premiers are screaming at Canadians trying to convince us that 3 cents at the gas pump is why we can't afford groceries.
