Ah, the sweet smell of a production Linux container image… generously seasoned with sshd and a whole host of unwanted services you definitely didn't need. If only my "if" statements were as reliable as my morning coffee. Lmao. #linux#devops#sysadmin#life
The clock is ticking! Submit your proposals for #DrupalDevDays by April 30th.⏰ Let us know in the comments below which session track you're aiming for!🎯
I need a Github Action template "upload-to-S3-provider-who-is-not-AWS-for-dumb-bimbo" because damn that overcomplicated devops ecosystem is gatekeeping simple babes like me 😭💅
(look at this rocket-science shit called AWS documentation… what the hell)

Instead of one Nix talk, we will do a round of short Nix lightning talks and a Nix Q&A session where you can raise questions and problems that you encountered while using Nix or NixOS, or that so far prevent you from using them. If you want to present a lightning talk (5-10min), feel free to send us a message.
I love #craftcms for its stable deploy process (project config in git). But I haven't found a quick way for setting up & deploying hobby projects yet on small VPS. Same with other #php CMS / frameworks.
Laravel Forge or ploi are great helpers, but with extra costs.💰 But ...1/
Would be a dream if I could just deploy #php hobby projects by selecting my repository from GitHub (like on Vercels interface) 🥰#devops#gitops#developergoals
He needs a devops or cloud job, ideally in Cali, but will accept remote, or any place that won't hurt his trans family.
Granted, they already live in a place with neighbours who put up MAGA Christmas lights and signs that read "Make California Great Again: Kill a Democrat" so where is "safe", really? :(
If anyone has any leads at all or an in at someplace you work at, please let me know.
I hadn’t heard about the actually-open-source Terraform fork in awhile and worried it might have fizzled out, but I was delighted to see OpenTofu released a 1.7.0 beta yesterday.
I had such moments too, even though not that critical because of way less subscribers.
My lesson learned: NEVER deploy your product before going to bed, or going out, or whatever. Anything may break, and it’s good to have some spare time to test and possibly fix stuff.
Do you believe in vendor benchmarks? You probably shouldn't.
🎙️ 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗺: @frankel from API7 about how API gateways, such as Apache APISIX, help you implement additional security and customer-specific API behavior centrally, without changing your actual application.🔥

The past 2 weeks have been spent learning how to migrate #GitHubActions to Azure, using a well formed and functional GitHub Action yaml file. A mountain of learning, but slowly getting there. Linux builds were surprisingly simple to migrate. Hey, windows should be easy since Microsoft owns it all right? Windows builds have been anything but simple to get going on Azure.
Any #Azure#DevOps folks, happy to pay for some time to learn how to build azure-pipeline.yml files for Windows builds.
Today, I checked out #NeuVector from #SUSE and it made a good initial impression on me. It was intuitive, categorized results in a meaningful way, and combines various concepts that I like from Red Hat Insights, Clair, and ManageIQ into a common platform.
oh cool! you can measure the #environmental cost of your #python code easily with Code Carbon
it tracks what hardware you’re using (CPU, GPU, etc.) and matches that up against the carbon intensity of your local power grid. They have shortcuts for popular cloud providers
You can’t optimize for what you can’t measure, so now hopefully we can start optimizing for impact on the #environment
I've sent a little time this morning searching for articles around "patterns for service to service authentication" and found a couple of bits.
I'm trying to document/evangelise that evolution of patterns is OK (in fact preferable) to long cycle large shifts.
Anyone got any go to posts about intraService authN/authZ patterns ? I hate to say #microservices. #softwarearchitecture#devops ps
Hm. I wonder if I can get any fediverse admins onboard to disable all images on their instance on the World Sight Day in October, so that only alt text shows up.
