In my adolescence I began a journey of information literacy, questioning everything fed to me. Someone who seemed to always tell the truth, with integrity and compassion, was Dan Rather.
He was on the TV a lot when I was a kid. When he retired I was sad. But he’s still here, delivering the goods. And I’m grateful for that.
Yes, #Technofeudalism is def. worth a try. It is a bit peculiar for an economics #book, reminds me of "What unites us" by #DanRather style wise, but #Yanis aroufakis tells the story great enthusiasm and conviction.
One man and four SCOTUS judges could decide the fate of democracy in America. Dan Rather and Elliot Kirschner lay it out plainly:
“Yesterday…Jack Smith, the special counsel investigating former President Trump, argued that the ex-president should not be immune from prosecution. It’s a legal matter, but one that will define the future of American democracy.”
Educated GOPers ‘Leaving DeSantis Campaign In Droves’
Dan Rather says ‘There Is No Other Side To Slavery’
It states they should learn that “slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit.” The danger of this narrative is striking. That enslaved people were able to find resilience and build lives in some form is a testament to their courage and spirit. There is no “other side” to the story of slavery.
Let's not forget, when he was an anchor on the TV screen every weeknight, he would not have been permitted to say that. In fact, DeSantis' position was the fucking DEFAULT, the GIVEN, even the journalistic given.

With this Twitter thing maybe changing considerably.
a question I am asking:
Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go, there will be trouble
And if I stay it will be double
So come on and let me know
Should I stay or should I go?
🎧 The assault of #DanRather in 1986 New York inspired this 1994 song by #REM.
Rather's "assailant" beat him, screaming "Kenneth, what is the frequency?" on a loop.
▶️ The dark addendum to that #story: Rather's attacker, William Tager shot / murdered an NBC technician outside the "Today Show" in 1994. Tager drew 15 to 25 in 1996, and was PAROLED four years later (2010).
