Google Photos app starting to tag the back of heads, and adding a manual Cinematic Photo feature
Seems Google is intending to keep Google Photos, as they have been adding quite a few new features lately.
One is a prompt that has started to pop up for somewhere the back of a head is only visible, and some are seeing a good 80+ percent success rate in r ...continues
Shared this on my other socials but realised I forgot to post it here:
This is a major milestone for me! 1,010 monthly listeners. I know this number might not stay this way forever, but I'm thrilled to see I was able to go past the 1000 mark.
For all my #cinematic peeps out there, let's get a thread going with stills from your Letterboxd top 4 movies. (Or if you don't have a #Letterboxd account, just throw out a still from each of your four favorite movies.)
Me? I went with:
Jaws
Night of the Living Dead
Monsieur Hulot's Holiday
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
And while we're at it, if you're down with sharing it, throw out your Letterboxd handle while you're at it. I'm there as optiMSTie!
Now, the #comic that is the target of this quiz has a different approach to the #soundtrack, one that feels almost #cinematic: not all scenes in the comic have a soundtrack, but those that do (and you're told when one does) track the music with the sequence of panels in a very distinctive way, leading you to actually reading the scene at the speed and rhythm dictated by the music.
Intriguing pair of, as promised "Two Space Tunes" from @defaultmediatransmitter. The first is an uptempo, energetic breakbeat track that is just a notch down from going full Big Beat revival. The second is a much calmer, more emotional affair that begs to be used as the soundtrack to an intimate moment between alien lovers in a prestige scifi drama.
The melancholic piano intro of "Travel" from @mebitek had me expecting a morose goth vocal to come in at any time, but instead the track evolves into a tight electronic instrumental workout that would sit nicely alongside prime era Ratatat or Air. Crisp production and tight sequencing in service of a memorable main riff add up to a solid package.
"Time to Fly" is a #cinematic, uplifting #song from the SHELTER collection that celebrates a #life well lived. I performed this song at my father's memorial service in June and at my July show in Santa Monica. Hope this #musicvideo lifts your spirits during the #holiday season!
I'm a composer/pianist who writes fantasy-inspired orchestral and piano music. I share my songs on YouTube and release albums every now and then on streaming platforms.
Sometimes, I share scores in the form of videos on my YouTube channel so you can follow along with the music if you enjoy that sort of thing.
I'm currently writing the soundtrack for a video game and would like to eventually move into the world of animated film scoring (I love animation!).
I'll keep this post short and share one of my songs below.
I hope that you enjoy listening to my music, and that it carries you away to far-off worlds.
