I've got knockback working satisfactorily now. There's a few different ways to knock the enemies around.
A problem I had was I wanted the fourth punch to do a knockback too. Timing a punch if it was triggered while within the last animation. This was too difficult.
Solution? Simple. Just build an entire combo system to eat the inputs Max. Hell, make a visualizer with @kenney icons to ensure I know what I pressed.
I've thought about video game genres a lot; I'm always trying to determine what makes something a "shooter" or a "racer". It beguiles me when our names for things don't always correctly describe the gameplay. When does a "shoot em up" become a "beat em up"?
As we enter the Golden Axe universe, we realize that the walls between the universes are collapsing and there are beings from other universes, such as Breath of Fire.
Hoping to find the Death Adder, we met another character: The Wizard of Karma, a powerful necromancer who abuses electrical magic and conjuring the dead.
I have never been into Beat 'em ups but have some of the classics like Streets of Rage 2 in my collection. 🥊
Are there any titles you suggest trying out although I am not the biggest fan of the genre? 🤔
A quick game in Street mode (where you face 2 bosses at the same time) with 3 players, playing our "Power Rangers - It's Morphing Time" with my children :)
This version already has differences between the demo, such as the characters that slide on the selection screen.
