I'm not sure how I'm feeling about 3 Body Problem. I'm only 1 episode in, but so far, it feels like Interstellar to me. Which is to say, held up as an example of good "hard" sci fi, but in reality, not that...
Is that what the rest of 3 Body Problem is going to be like, or should I stick with it?
TL;DR #Netflix doesn't honour European time zones. The #3BodyProblem will not be shown to us as promised today on the 21st of march, but only at some US timezone point during the day. Thanks, Netflix.
I have read the #3BodyProblem books and I honestly do wonder if sophons have arrived and are blocking our progress since quite some years. (In the books, earth has made contact with extraterrestrials who have created sophons, foldable protons that can unfold in many dimensions, stifling fundamental research to stop us from being able to make progress)

I was doing some research on the Fireworks Galaxy, since I began imaging it last night. I stumbled on a really interesting pair of Hubble images that I thought was worth sharing.
The left image shows a supergiant star in the Fireworks Galaxy, taken kn 2007. The image on the right shows this same location.. with the star missing! Now named N6946-BH1, this star is believed to have collapsed into a black hole. More info is on the star’s Wikipedia page.
