He never planned to improve transportation; he just wants to keep people trapped in cars.
The TGV is a good example, as it is a double-decker 350km/h train. But as you can see it crosses great distances and it is a tourist attraction. Emphasis on tourist attraction.
In Asia, such trains are used for normal public transis between large cities in China for everydag use.
South Africa even built the Gautrain for their 2010 soccer world cup, but it is only a 160km/h train. And today it is too expensive for me to use, I just drive 60km rather than taking the train because it is also too slow.
@Stark9837@parismarx Hate to point this out, but the EU has had high speed rail for decades, and Spain has the most HSR track-kilometres per capita on Earth, despite being, by European standards, sparsely populated. In the US, population desnities in the North-east (and muh of the eastern seaboard in general) are similar to Europe, and would easily support HSR is political will was present.
@Stark9837@Syulang@parismarx Nonsense. In Europe we have a network of high speed 200+ kph trains that allows us to travel at very competitive prices, even compared to cars. And California is even bigger than most European countries.

That's fair. For a while, most ppl were using content warnings, but that seems to be decreasing. (But you could just skip those posts. You don't actually have to read & engage.)
You said your filters were not working as expected. Mine are working (threads, meta, bluesky); so maybe you want to double-check yours?

Interesting. I have mine set to show a warning. Maybe you found a bug. Maybe switch it to "warning" and see if there's a difference?
@mmlvx@bgrinter@parismarx I'm just looking for a new server, probably mine is the issue. It also doesn't allow me seeing many profiles from other servers and I found out today it wasn't a norm and that other people can easily read them

those profiles weren't on Mastodon so they were opening on a separate website and I was confused
